June 13th Enhancements Notification
Important Information For TeamSideline Customers
TeamSideline will implement the next set of 2023 Enhancements in our Release this Tuesday night, June 13th. In addition to the items below, we have made many other improvements throughout TeamSideline thanks to your suggestions. If you have any feedback, please email bruce@teamsideline.com. Multi Location Calendar Multiple Days View
For our Premium customers, the Multi Location Calendar has been enhanced to allow an admin to view from one to seven days of game and practice events all at once. Set the “# of Days” Display Setting field and select the Multi-day option. You can still move games that are not scored or locked and the corresponding schedule will be updated appropriately.
Team Numbers for Scheduling
Also for our Premium customers, a new feature has been added to make manual manipulation of the schedule easier for you. On the 4 Create Schedule page, you can now quickly add team numbers before each team name in a division. Adding these team numbers will make it much easier for you to understand the schedule when you need to move games to address team conflicts, multi team coach conflicts, availability conflicts, etc. Click the Display button, click the Show Team # checkbox, and click the Apply button. When you are done making your changes, you can quickly uncheck the box and the numbers will be removed. Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium upgrade.
Auto Grade Changer
A new feature has been added to enable players to automatically move up to be able to register into the next grade level each year. The grade is set by the player’s parents in the player’s account just like gender is set. Then this grade can be used by each Offering for grade validation. To get started, go to Customers > Configurations > General, set Player Grade=Yes and set the Player Grade Update Date you want each player’s grade to be advanced to the next grade level. Then on the 1 Setup page of your program, update the Age Validation Type field on the 1 Setup page of your program to Auto Grade. The final step is to set each Offerings’ Player Grade to the appropriate grade. Your existing customers will be prompted to update their player’s grade if it has not been set already.
Cancelling and Refunding an Enrollment
The cancelling and refunding of a credit card for an enrollment just got much easier! We have consolidated the steps for both functions into one step to make this process quicker and easier. On the Enrollments tab in a customer’s account, click the edit icon, click the Cancel Enrollment button, select Refund Credit Card for the Refund Type, and click the Confirm Cancellation button. All done - it’s that easy! Note: The one step process will only work for full credit card refunds. Partial refunds will be enabled in a future release.
Assigned Coupons
Admins can now create Assigned Coupons for your programs and customers. Once assigned to an account, the customer can use the assigned coupon on the final checkout page. To set this up, go to Programs > Configurations > Multi-Program Coupons and click the Add Coupon button. Select your Programs, fill out the rest of the fields and then make sure you change the Account Assigned field to Yes. To add this coupon to a specific customer, go to the customer’s Account Overview page, scroll down and click the Add button in the Assigned Coupons section. Now the customer can select this coupon code when they are checking out and their enrollment fees will be adjusted accordingly.
Customers > Account Management > Multi Edit
The Multi Edit functionality under Customers > Account Management has been enhanced so admins can now update Custom Fields for either Players or Adults/General enrollees. Select the Enrollment Type, the Program and click the checkbox for the Custom Field. Click the Update button to get started.
Youth Camp Registrations
We have enabled a few new options for our Camp Registration programs.
- The ability to limit the offerings by grades (select Grade Validation or Auto Grade on the 1 Setup page and then enable the correct grade for each offering).
- Early, Regular, and Late Registration Payment Plans have been enabled so your customers can choose to pay by either the full cost of the program or select to pay with payment plans.
- Discount pricing can be enabled when a customer signs up for every session of your camp program. Look for the All Sessions Session Fee fields (Early, Regular and Late).
- Coupon codes can now be configured on the 2 Configuration page of the program or on the Multi-Program Coupons page under Programs > Configurations.
- Admins can add a unique Description for each Session that is created.
Visual Boundary
When you go to test an address on your visual boundary (Programs > Configurations > Boundaries > Visual Boundary), now a red pin displays for the location. This makes it so much easier to know if the address is in or out of the boundary that has been setup for your site.
Mobile PDF Documents
Now if your customers are trying to open a PDF document on their phone that you have sent out, it will automatically open vs downloading to their phone.
Automatic Team Reminders
Based on our admin feedback, we’ve adjusted the majority of game/practice reminders to be sent out after 7am PT. The only exception is if the reminder is setup to be the same day and the event starts before noon.
Hockey Game Scorecard
Based on feedback from our admins, Start and End date fields have been added to the Hockey Game Scorecard under Reports > Report Viewer. Now you can print only the specific game dates you need.
Please note that the downtime period to enable these enhancements will be from 10:00pm – 1:00am (Pacific) on Tuesday night, June 13th.
