A counter can be added by doing the following:
- From the Admin Site Map, go to Content..News Items.
- Click on the Add News Item button.
- Fill in the New Item Title field.
- For the News Item Description field, at the bottom of the editor box, click on <> HTML.
- Delete the default <br>.
- Paste the following into the HTML display:

- Go to the site hitwebcounter.com.
- Click on the counter you want.
- Click the Get Your Counter Code button towards the bottom of the page.
- Highlight the first paragraph of the code in the text box (through </a><br/>) and click Ctrl-C (or right-click and select Copy).
- Go back to your TeamSideline site.
- Back in the News Item Description HTML display, click Ctrl-V (or right-click and select Paste).
- Lastly, paste the following into the HTML display:

- Click on Design at the bottom of the editor box and you should see a number counter.
- Change Display Date to No.
- Change Display Title to No.
- Change Display Separator to No.
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Edit icon for this News Item.
- Click Remove... for the News Item Image. This is always added as a default picture for a new News Item.
- Click the Save button.
- Make sure this News Item is visible on the Home page by making sure the red visibility icon is green.
- Click on the Home page tab and your counter is now visible.
