How to setup email on your Android phone

How to set up email on your Android phone:

  1. From the Home screen, touch Menu > Settings > Accounts > Add account.
  2. Select the account typesuch as Personal (IMAP) or Personal (POP3) you want to set up.  If you do not see your account type, select Other.
  3. Enter your Email address and tap Next.
  4. Enter your Password and tap Next.
  5. For Incoming Server Settings, verify your email and password are correct and make sure the Server is set to: email.teamsideline.net and tap Next.
    • Note: Android defaults the server to your Organization's domain. Make sure to change the Server to email.teamsideline.net. 
  6. For Outgoing Server Settings, verify your email and password are correct and make sure the Server is set to: email.teamsideline.net and tap Next.
  7. Your device will attempt to complete the process if your email server settings are available.
  8. Set up your Account option as desired and tap Next.
  9. Your account is now set up, just enter your name and tap Next.

How to set up email manually on your Android phone:

  1.   If you select Manual setup or your provider's settings are not automatically loaded, you will be taken through the following steps for POP3:
    1. Use email.teamsideline.net for the server.
    2. Security type = SSL
    3. Port = 995 (for POP3) or 993 (for IMAP).
    4. Select the type of email account you are setting up.  You may choose from POP3 account or IMAP account (IMAP is recommended).
    5. Enter your Incoming server settings.  This includes your User name (ie. your email address), Password, Server, Security type, Port number, and Delete email from server setting.
  2. Your device will attempt to connect to the outgoing server with the settings you have entered. If unsuccessful, you will be prompted to Edit details; confirm your settings and try again. If the connection is successful, you will be taken to the Account options screen. Touch Next when you have finished making your selections.
    1. Use email.teamsideline.net for the outgoing server also.
  3. You will be asked to give this internet mail account a unique on-screen name. The unique account name is used to differentiate this account from other email accounts on your mobile device. Enter Your name as you would like it to be displayed on outgoing messages. Touch Done to complete the setup process.
  4. Select an account type to sync with additional accounts or touch Done with accounts.
