How to setup email in Outlook 2013/2016 or Office 365


Here are the steps to setup your TeamSideline email in Outlook:

  • Go into Account Settings.
  • Click on New…
  • Select “Manual setup or additional server types”.
  • Click the Next button.
  • Select “POP or IMAP”.
  • Click the Next button.
  • Type in the following:
    • Your name: your name
    • Email address: the email address you are going to use
    • Account Type: POP3 or IMAP
    • Incoming mail server:
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
    • User Name: the email address you are going to use
    • Password: your password
    • Keep checked “Remember password”.
  • Click on the More Settings button.
  • Click on the “Outgoing Server” tab.
    • Click on “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires Authentication”.
    • Click on “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.
  • Click on the “Advanced” tab.
    • Incoming server (POP3): 995 or (IMAP) 993
    • Click “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)”.
    • Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
    • Select “SSL” from the “Use the following type of encrypted connection”. Note: Set this to None for a POP3 setup if SSL setting is not working.
    • Click the OK button
  • Click the Next button to test the connection.
