September 8th Enhancements Notification


TeamSideline will release our next set of enhancements this Thursday night, September 8th.

Pitch Count Reporting using Auto Coach Scoring

If you are one of our Premium customers, you already have Auto Coach Scoring.  Now we’ve added the capability to have Auto Coach Scoring Custom Fields displayed in the Game Comments field on a Division’s Schedule page.  When your coaches receive their Auto Coach Scoring email, they will fill in the requested Custom Field information (example: Pitch Count) in addition to the scores.  Once they hit the Submit button, the data will be populated for the specific game and will be visible on the Division’s public Schedule page.  Here’s how to set it up:

  • Go to Administration > Configurations > Custom Fields and add in a new Auto Coach Scoring Custom Field such as Pitch Count.
  • Go to Schedules > Leagues & Divisions and click on a Division.
  • Go to the 1 Configuration > Scoring page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and set Show Custom Fields to Yes.

That’s it!  Once the games start, the emails will be sent out requesting this additional data from the Team Contacts.  Email if you are interested in learning more about our Premium upgrade.

Countdown Gadget

A Countdown Gadget has been created that you can turn on for any News Item.  Go to Content > News Items and either create a new News Item or click the edit icon for an existing one.  Then set Include Time to Yes and set the appropriate Countdown To date and time.  Check your public Home Page to see how it looks!

“Store” Page Image Rotator or Photo Gallery

You can now add an Image Rotator or a Photo Gallery to the Store Instruction page.  If needed, create your Image Rotator or Photo Gallery (both under Content), then go to Content > Page Edit.  Select Store Page – Instructions Section from the Page to Edit dropdown and use the appropriate dropdowns to add either item to the page.  Once you go to your Store, you will see the images at the top.

In Other News…

  • On the Content > Downloads page, you can upload Microsoft PowerPoint documents.  Once you get to this page, just click the Add File button to get started.
  • For both Youth and Adult Individual Registration Program reporting, the Assignment Date (ie. the date the person was added to the roster) is now available on the Enrollment Information Report under Reports > Report Exports.
  • We’ve added the Game Spacing field to the Location Availability Report so all information that is needed for Scheduling (including Advanced Scheduling) is in one report.
  • On any Division’s 1 Configuration > Display page, you can set Swap Home & Away to Yes, so the Away team will display first before the Home team.  Now the Upcoming Games Gadget, configured on the Content > Configurations > General page, has been updated to also reflect this selection.  Try it out on either an Evolved or Classic site.

Please note that the downtime period to enable these enhancements to be implemented will be from 10pm – midnight (PST) Thursday night, September 8th.
