October 9th Enhancements Notification 

We will implement our next Release of 2019 TeamSideline system enhancements on Wednesday night, October 9th.  In addition to the items below, we have also made many other improvements throughout the site thanks to your feedback.  If you have more feedback, please email

HTTPS/SSL for all Public Pages 

You may have noticed that the Google Chrome browser has recently been flagging public facing sites as unsecure if they don’t use HTTPS in the URL.  To address this, we have been diligently working behind the scenes to move our domain specific sites to use HTTPS even before admins or customers are logged into the site.  The majority of our sites that have DNS managed by TeamSideline are now HTTPS compatible.   If you are interested in taking advantage of this functionality for your site, please send an email to to have us manage your DNS for you or request to get your own domain for your site. 

Location Status Display 

Display of location statuses on your site home page are now 100% customizable, including a scrolling or fixed display.  Want everyone to easily know what locations are open, or closed, or some other status on your mind?  Go to the Location Conditions page (located under Schedules > Configurations), create any condition you want and configure it to be any color you want.  When that’s done you can easily select one or multiple locations at Schedules > Locations > Update Location Status to display the conditions you created with your selected colors on your home page.  Note: Make sure you use the Status Valid Until settings to automatically hide statuses per the dates and times you want.

Multi Team Coach Practice Warnings 

If you choose to check for practice conflicts when you are scheduling, you will now also see when there is a Multi Team Coach issue (ie. if there is a time conflict for a coach that coaches more than one team).  To take advantage of this feature, go to Schedules > Configurations > General and change Practice Conflicts to Yes.  Then on the 2 Teams page of your divisions, make sure you have entered the email addresses for your coaches.

Exclude Cross Division Games from Standings 

If you have divisions where teams play each other but also play teams in another division (we call them cross division games), now you can easily exclude these games from the standings.  Go to a division’s 1 Configuration > Scoring page and change Exclude Cross Division to Yes.  If you are a Premium customer and want to update more than one division at a time, go to Schedules > Leagues & Divisions and click the Update Multiple Divisions button.  If you want to set this field every time you create a new division, go to Schedules > Configurations > Sport Defaults.  Email if you want to learn more about the Premium upgrade.

Officials Module – Automatic Rejection Emails to the Admin 

In a previous release, the Officials Module had been enhanced to allow the Officials Assigners to create a cutoff date by which officials must confirm their assignments.  If an official does not accept a game by the configured number of days before the game, the assignment for that official is automatically marked as rejected.  This will enable the Officials Admin to reassign the game when they are not getting timely game confirmations.  We have enhanced this feature to also include an automatic email back to the admin who originally assigned the game to let them know of the automatic rejection.  You can set the Auto Reject Asgmt field at Schedules > Officials Management > Configurations.  Interested in the Officials Module?  Just email for more information. 

Registration Dates on Calendar 

You can now easily include all your programs’ registration start and end dates on your organization’s public calendar.  Go to Content > Configurations > General and change Show Reg Dates to Yes to enable this new feature. 

Public Display of Waitlisted Teams 

When your customers click on the public More Info button for your Team Registration programs, they will now be able to view all Waitlisted teams in addition to the teams that are currently enrolled in the Program.  This will enable coaches to be able to see who is coming and who is waiting to play in your tournaments.

Chargeback Automation for WePay Sites 

A chargeback is a transaction that has been disputed by the cardholder.  If your site is using WePay as your credit card gateway, we have automated the handling of chargebacks when they are sent to TeamSideline by WePay.  Once a chargeback is received, a Miscellaneous Debit is added to the customer’s account and an email is sent to the email(s) listed in Chargeback Copy To on the Programs > Configurations > General page.  You can also report out your site’s chargebacks by going to Reports > Report Exports and running the Payment Gateway Chargebacks report.

JDP Background Checks for Little Leagues

We have implemented a new Little League specific feature to enable an easy, quick way for you to export your Volunteer Background Check information that you can then import into the Little League’s JDP Background Check system.  The process is a simple, ready-to-go export.  Just select the Program and Date Range at Reports > Report Exports > JDP Background Check Report, click Export, and click the link to go to the Little League’s JDP Background Check system.  We’ve also added an article that lists the steps to follow.

Volunteer Hours Report Additions 

The Volunteer Hours report will now by default include member email address and phone number data.  Go to Reports > Report Exports, click Volunteer Hours, set the Date Range and other options, then click the Export button.

Content Table Row Visibility 

A new feature has been added to Content Tables that allows you to make a row “not visible”.  So instead of having to delete the row, you just click the eyeball and make it red.  Go to Content > Content Tables, click the green Modify icon, click an eyeball to control a row’s visibility, then click the Save button.

Please note that the downtime period to enable these enhancements to be implemented will be from 10pm – midnight (PDT) on Wednesday night, October 9th.
