May 27th Enhancements Notification 

 Important Information For TeamSideline Customers: 

TeamSideline will implement the next 2020 Release of system enhancements this Wednesday night, May 27th.  In addition to the items below, we have made many other improvements throughout the site thanks to your feedback.  Our team is also continuing to work diligently over the summer and will be adding lots of enhancements and improvements in our future releases – stay tuned!  If you have any feedback, please email bruce@teamsideline.com.

Mobile App Updates! 

This Release enables us to move forward with key App upgrades.  Shortly after this Release, updates to both the Team App and the Officials App will be pushed to the iPhone and Android app stores.  The new Dark Mode capability looks awesome! – but even better than the graphical look and feel is that the Team App Chat Messaging and Phone Notification Services are both out of Beta and fully operational!  And free like all TeamSideline Apps!  No more waiting for email or text communications to your Teams – the Service is on our infrastructure, not through an outside Service, so Chat communications are instantaneous.  Please note: we will send out a Release communication when these features have been deployed to the Stores so you can make sure you update your App to use these new upgrades.

Guest Checkout for Donations

A couple releases ago we implemented a new Donations page for all Sites with our Registration system.  We have enhanced this process further by enabling you to allow a “Guest Checkout”, meaning the person making the Donation does not have to have an account on your site to place their order – they don’t even have to be logged into your Site.  This enables more Donations through your Site.  To enable the Guest Checkout feature, go to Programs > Configurations > Store/Donations and change Guest Checkout to Yes.

2 Game Guarantee (2GG) Brackets

We have built out the 2 Game Guarantee brackets for the Tournament Module to include 6 to 16 teams.  If you have this module already added to your TeamSideline site, you will see these options on the 1 Configuration > Scheduling page of a Tournament division.  Click here if you are interested in learning more about the brackets that TeamSideline has to offer.   Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you would like to learn more about the Tournament Module.

eSports 

During this time when we have all been asked to shelter in place, a lot of organizations have been creative trying to find activities to keep their customers engaged.  There have been many eSports programs and leagues created.  To help facilitate these alternatives, we have added eSports as a Sport type so when you go to add a new program, select this new option from the Sport dropdown.

Admin Balance Payment Applies To 

As an admin, you can process credit card payments for your members but you still need to tie the payment back to the original order(s).  Now we have made this easier.  Once you are on a customer’s Account Overview page, click the Place Order button or tab and if they owe your organization money, a yellow warning message will be displayed with the total amount due for the account.  Click the Add Balance Payment button and you will see all of the outstanding orders where there is still a balance due.  Type in the Amount(s) you wish to apply to each order and click the Add button.  Click the Checkout button, complete the Checkout page, and click the Place Order button. 

Account Reconcile 

To improve usability of a customer’s Account Reconcile page, we have reversed the sort order so the latest payments and credits are displayed at the top.  Once you are on the Account Overview page for a customer, click on the Reconcile button to see this enhancement that will hopefully make this process a bit easier for you.

Please note that the downtime period to enable these enhancements will be from 10:00pm – midnight (PDT) on Wednesday night, May 27th.
