As part of the New Content Builder, TeamSideline now offers the Form Widget, which is designed to replace the existing Entry Forms used in Legacy Content.
WHY THE CHANGE?
The Form Widget provides significantly more flexibility and power than Entry Forms, including:
Advanced field types and layout options
Easier visual editing directly on the page
Built-in integrations with third-party tools
Better customization for different use cases (registrations, contact forms, surveys, etc.)
Because of these expanded capabilities, form data is handled differently than Entry Forms.
IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE: Where Form Responses Are Stored
Unlike Entry Forms, Form Widget responses are no longer saved in the “Report Exports” section of your website.
Instead, you now have two options for accessing and managing form submissions:
OPTION 1: USE A FORM INTEGRATION (Recommended)
The Form Widget supports integrations that automatically send responses to external tools, such as:
Google Sheets
Email notifications
CRM or workflow tools (depending on your setup)
Why use integrations?
Real-time access to responses
Easier collaboration and sharing
No manual exporting required
To set up an integration:
Open the page containing your Form Widget
Click on the Form Widget
Go to Form Settings
Select Integrations
Connect and configure your preferred tool
OPTION 2: EXPORT AN EXCEL DOCUMENT
If one of the built in integrations don’t work for you, and you prefer to manually download responses, you can still export submissions as a CSV file.
Note: This is done directly in the content editor, and not available through Report > Report Exports page.
How to Export the Excel File:
- Log into your Site Editor
- Go to i with a circle on the top menu bar
- Click Take Me to Site Dashboard
- Select Forms Responses from the left side menu
- Choose the specific form you want to report on
- Click Export CSV
- Download and save the file to your computer
