Once you have created your Survey via Communications > Surveys, you are now ready to publish your Survey. For an article on how to create a Survey, click here.
There are two Survey publish options:
1. Anonymous Survey that can be added via the Links drop down (and enable multiple responses with the same web address).
2. Private surveys (one survey entry per email address) that you send out through your Send Communication process.
How to publish a Anonymous Survey:
- Go to Communications > Surveys.
- For the desired Survey click the spyglass icon to View Survey.
- Click the Publish Survey button.

- Note: Once you publish a Survey you can no longer edit or make changes.

- Select the "Use the Links function to post a survey link that can have multiple anonymous responses" option.
- Click the Publish button.
- The Survey is now published.
- Now when you create a News Item, Custom Page, or Email Communication, you can click on the "Links" drop down in the Toolbar, click the plus next sign to Anonymous Surveys, select an Anonymous Survey to embed a web address to the survey in your News Item, Custom Page, or Email Communication.
How to publish an Private Survey:
- Go to Communications > Surveys.
- For the desired Survey click the spyglass icon to View Survey.
- Click the Publish Survey button.
- Note: Once you publish a Survey you can no longer edit or make changes.
- Select the "Use Send Communications to email a survey link - one reply per email" option.
- Click the Publish button.
- The system will then take you to the Communications > Send Communication page.
- Note: You can verify the Survey is linked by reviewing the red box at the top of the page. It will list your Surveys name and even give you the option to Cancel the Survey.
- Click the box next to each List/Recipient you want to communicate to.
- When done making your selection, click the Next button to go to the next page and create your message.
- On the Create Your Message page, enter the desired information and click the Send button. When using this method TeamSideline automatically embeds a link to the survey in the email.
