Why is the Add to Roster button disabled?
There are two common reasons the Add to Roster button may be unavailable.
Reason #1: You're accessing the roster from the wrong location
To add players, you must access your roster through your Customer Account under Manage Rosters.
If you access your team through Team Sites, the button may appear disabled even if you have permission to edit the roster.
How to access your roster correctly
- Log out
- Go to your organization's TeamSideline home page.
- Log in to your Customer Account.
- Select your team under Manage Rosters.
- Open your roster and click Add to Roster.
Reason #2: Your league has Locked roster editing
Some organizations do not allow coaches or team managers to add players directly to rosters.
If roster editing has been restricted, you'll typically see a yellow message on the roster page indicating that roster changes are disabled.
In this case, contact your league through their Contact Us page to request roster updates.
How do I submit my roster?
Once all players have been added to your roster, click Submit Roster to notify your league that your roster is complete and ready for review.
After submission, your roster status will change to Submitted.
Note: If you make any roster changes after submitting (such as adding or removing a player), your roster will automatically return to Open status. When this happens, you'll need to submit the roster again once your updates are complete.
Why is my Submit Roster Greyed out?
If the Submit Roster button is greyed out, this means you do not have the Minimum players set by your Organization enrolled on the roster. The system only counts players, not Managers or Coaches on the roster.
Once you have the required number of players enrolled, the system will allow you to submit your roster.
I submitted my roster, but now it shows Open again. Why?
Any roster change made after submission—such as adding or removing a player—will automatically reopen the roster.
Simply review your changes and click Submit Roster again when your roster is finalized.
