Team schedule conflicts are the times a team can't play, or teams it shouldn't face. You enter them on a division's 2 Teams page. 4 Create Schedule then warns you when a game breaks one, and Auto Resolve can move games to fix some types.
Add a team schedule conflict
- Open the division and go to 2 Teams.
- In Team Schedule Conflicts, click Add Conflict.
- Choose the Team and the Conflict Type, fill in the fields for that type, and click Add.
| Conflict Type | What you enter | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Specific Day/Time | Date, Start Time, End Time | A team can't play at a certain time on one date |
| Recurring Day/Time | Day, Start Time, End Time | A team can't play at a certain time every week, such as Tuesdays 5:00 to 7:00 PM |
| Team/Player | League, Division, Team, Travel Time | The team shares players with another team and needs travel time between their games |
| Avoid Team | League, Division, Team | Two teams shouldn't play each other |
To change a conflict, delete it and add it again. You need permission to edit teams, and you can't change conflicts in an archived league.

Put conflicts in priority order
Drag the rows in Team Schedule Conflicts to set their priority, from most to least important. Standard Auto Resolve uses this order: it protects the conflicts at the top first. AI Auto Resolve doesn't use the row order. It follows the Optimization Priorities in AI Auto Resolve Settings instead.
Import conflicts
To add many conflicts at once, go to Administration > Import Data and choose Schedule Conflict Import. Import one league at a time. The file's columns are Division Name, Team Name, Conflict Type, Conflict Team Name, Conflict Travel Time, Conflict Date, Conflict Day, Conflict Start Time, and Conflict End Time.
Avoid Team conflicts can't be imported. Add those on 2 Teams.
How conflicts affect your schedule
Creating a schedule doesn't place games around team conflicts. After you create or change the schedule, 4 Create Schedule shows a Team Schedule Conflict warning for each game that breaks one. Warnings don't stop Calc & Save.
| Conflict Type | Warning on 4 Create Schedule | Standard Auto Resolve | AI Auto Resolve |
|---|---|---|---|
| Specific Day/Time | Yes | Fixes it | Fixes it while Resolve Team Specific Day Schedule Conflicts is included |
| Recurring Day/Time | Yes | Fixes it | Fixes it |
| Team/Player | Yes, when the games are closer than the travel time | Doesn't fix it | Doesn't fix it |
| Avoid Team | Yes, when the two teams play each other | Doesn't fix it | Doesn't fix it |
Fix Team/Player and Avoid Team warnings by hand.
Tips
- Make each conflict window at least as long as a game. A short window that falls entirely inside a game's time may not be flagged.
- Enter conflicts before you run Auto Resolve. It only respects the conflicts saved at the time.
