TeamSideline Volunteer Management allows volunteers to view available volunteer opportunities and request shifts for league activities. This guide explains how to sign in to TeamSideline, view available volunteer shifts, and request a volunteer assignment.
Before You Begin
To sign up for volunteer shifts, you will need:
- An active TeamSideline account
- The email address associated with your account
- Your account password
If you do not know your password, select Forgot your password? from the Sign In page and follow the instructions to reset it.
How to Sign In to TeamSideline
- Navigate to your organization’s TeamSideline home page.
From the upper corner of the home page, click Sign In.
- Enter your email address.
- Click Sign In.
Enter your password.
If you do not know your password, click Forgot your password? and follow the instructions to reset it.
Once signed in, you can access available volunteer shifts from your account.
How to Request a Volunteer Shift
Once you are signed in:
- From the menu bar, select My Account.
Select the Volunteer Shifts tab.
View Available Volunteer Shifts
Available volunteer shifts will display under the Available Shifts section.
If no volunteer shifts are listed, one of the following may apply:
- Volunteer sign-up has not opened yet.
- Your account has not been configured for volunteer opportunities.
- Your organization has not created available volunteer shifts.
If you need assistance, use the Contact Us link on your organization’s home page to reach your league administrator.
Select a Volunteer and Shift
In the Sign Up! section, select the member who will be volunteering.
Note: The Members list includes parents currently linked to your account. If you need to add another parent, go to the Members tab and follow the instructions provided there.
- In the Available Shifts section:
- Select the checkbox next to one or more volunteer shifts you would like to request.
- Click the triangle icon next to an opportunity or task to expand additional details.
- Hover over a task to view the volunteer responsibilities.
- Click the Request button.
Confirm Your Volunteer Shift
After clicking Request, the page will refresh and display either:
- A confirmation that your volunteer shift request was submitted, or
- A warning that the shift is no longer available
Important: Other volunteers may be requesting the same shift at the same time. You are not assigned to a volunteer shift until you click Request and receive confirmation.
View Your Confirmed Volunteer Shifts
After your request is confirmed:
- Return to the Volunteer Shifts page.
- Review your assigned volunteer shifts in the Volunteer Shifts table.
If you need to change or cancel a volunteer shift, use the Contact Us link on your organization’s home page to reach your league’s volunteer coordinator.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find volunteer opportunities in TeamSideline?
Sign in to your TeamSideline account, go to My Account > Volunteer Shifts, and view available volunteer opportunities.
Why don't I see any volunteer shifts?
Volunteer shifts may not be available yet, your organization may not have opened registration, or your account may not be configured for volunteering. Contact your organization for assistance.
Can I sign up multiple family members for volunteer shifts?
Yes. When requesting a shift, select the appropriate member from the Member dropdown. The list includes members currently linked to your account.
Am I automatically assigned to a volunteer shift when I select it?
No. You must click Request and receive confirmation before you are assigned to the volunteer shift.
