Your organization's website has two separate sign-in pages. Parents, players, coaches and other members use Sign In at the top of the website, and the people who run the site use Admin Sign In at the bottom. You use the email address and password of your TeamSideline account on either one: the page you choose decides whether you see your family account or the admin site.

Which sign-in to use

Sign in as a parent, player or coach

1. Go to your organization's website.
2. Click Sign In at the top of the page.
3. Enter your Email and Password.
4. Click Sign In.

What you'll see: your account's Home page. Its My Account links include My Profile, Members, Order History, Enrollments, Volunteer Shifts and Place Order (the list depends on what your organization uses). Tiles link to Contact Us and, when they apply, your balance due, volunteer shifts you can sign up for, open workflow items, and your organization's Facebook and Twitter pages. If you were registering, you go back to your cart instead, or to Members if you were registering a player and your account doesn't have one yet.

New to TeamSideline? Click Create a new account on the sign-in page. Your TeamSideline email address and password work on every organization's website that uses TeamSideline.

Sign in as an admin

1. Go to your organization's website and scroll to the bottom of the page.
2. Click Admin Sign In in the footer, usually at the bottom right. You can also go straight to the page: its address ends in /admin/sign_in, for example https://yourleague.org/admin/sign_in.
3. On Welcome to Admin Sign In, enter your Email and Password.
4. Click Sign In.
5. If the Admin Terms page opens, read the text and click Accept. If Accept is grayed out, scroll to the end of the text first.

What you'll see: the admin Home page. Notices that wait for you at sign-in, such as an unpaid invoice message, appear on Home once you're in. Bookmark the Admin Sign In page so you can go straight to it next time. If you're already signed in as an admin, the footer link takes you to Home.

When the Admin Terms page appears

You're asked to accept before you can use the admin site when TeamSideline publishes a new version of its admin terms, the first time you sign in to an organization's admin site, when the name on your account has changed, or when you've been added back to an organization. If you manage several organizations, you accept in each one. Cancel signs you out, and you're asked again at your next sign-in. Accepting TeamSideline's updated Terms (what admins, parents and coaches see at sign-in) has the details.

New admins

TeamSideline doesn't email someone when they're added as an admin. After you add them on Administration > Manage Users, send them your website's Admin Sign In link and ask them to sign in with the email address you added. If they don't know a password for that address, they click Forgot your password? on Admin Sign In to set one. At their first sign-in, they accept the Admin Terms.

Use a phone or tablet

The TeamSideline app is for members and has no admin features. To work in the admin site on a phone or tablet, open Safari, Chrome or another browser, go to your organization's website and use Admin Sign In.

If it doesn't work

• You signed in but see your family account, not the admin site. You used Sign In. Sign out, then use Admin Sign In at the bottom of the website.
• "Login failed. Please make sure your email address and password were entered correctly, and try again. Note: Passwords are case sensitive." The email address and password don't match. On Admin Sign In you also see this when the address isn't an admin of this organization, for example a family-only account or an admin who was removed. Type your password instead of pasting it (the Password box holds 15 characters), check that Caps Lock is off, and check the Email box: it can be filled in with the last address used on this browser.
• "Too many sign in attempts. Click the "Forgot your password?" link below to reset your password." Too many failed tries in a short time have blocked sign-in for a while, even with the right password. Completing Forgot your password? lifts the block. A password someone else sets for you doesn't.
• "You cannot login because your administrator has not assigned you any roles." You're an admin of this organization, but none of your roles gives you access. Your password is fine: ask another admin to check your roles on Administration > Manage Users.
• "Your account has not been activated." Your TeamSideline login was never activated. Find the "Activate Your Account" or "Validate your Email" email from TeamSideline (check junk folders), click its link, then sign in. If you can't find it, contact TeamSideline Support.
• "Your email address has not been validated." (Sign In) You're signed in. Click the link in the "Validate your Email" email TeamSideline just sent you.
• A Terms of Service page or a notice about updated terms appears after you sign in. TeamSideline's terms were updated. Accept them to continue.
• You can't find Admin Sign In. Go straight to the page's address (ending in /admin/sign_in). If the link is missing or hard to read, for example because the footer text is the same color as its background, contact TeamSideline Support with your website address and a screenshot. On Editor 2.0 websites, don't delete the footer: Admin Sign In is part of it.
• Your organization's public website moved to another provider and has no Admin Sign In. Your TeamSideline site is still at its TeamSideline address: go to https://teamsideline.com/sites/yourleague/admin/sign_in, with your site's name in place of yourleague, or use Admin Sign In in that site's footer (legacy websites). If the address takes you to the new website instead, contact TeamSideline Support.
• There's no Sign In at the top of the website. Start from a program's registration, which asks you to sign in, or contact the organization.

Good to know

• One TeamSideline account: the same email address and password work for Sign In on any TeamSideline website, for Admin Sign In at each organization you manage, and for the TeamSideline app.
• Each organization has its own Admin Sign In page, so if you manage more than one organization, sign in on each organization's website.
• Admin Sign In normally stays in the footer. For a more visible way in for admins, contact TeamSideline Support to discuss options. Keeping Sign In and Admin Sign In apart avoids confusing members.
• No one at your organization or at TeamSideline can look up your password. Families who can't sign in reset it with Forgot your password? and, if they're still stuck, contact their organization with the Contact Us link on its website. Admins can ask another admin or TeamSideline Support.
