In Reports > Report Exports, a code in parentheses before a field's name tells you where its data comes from: (e) an enrollment field, (es) a field from a Custom Section, (c) a custom field, (c+) a parent's custom field, (a) an add-on, (t) Terms and Conditions, (r) a reservation field and (w) a Workflow item. Fields with no code are TeamSideline's standard fields, such as Emergency Contact Name.
Applies to: Admins who run reports · All plans (Roster Enrollment needs Enhanced, Elite or Enterprise; Reservation Information needs the Facility module; (w) needs the Workflow module) · Registration, roster and facility reservation reports
Where: Reports > Report Exports > (report) > Columns (the Available fields list)
What each code means
(e) Enrollment field
(e) marks a question on your registration forms, created on Programs > Configurations > Enrollment Fields and added to programs. The column holds each registrant's answer.
Examples: (e) Shirt Size, (e) School
(es) Managed enrollment field (Custom Section)
(es) marks a question from a Custom Section that TeamSideline set up for your organization. On Programs > Configurations > Enrollment Fields these fields show with (Managed) after the name, and they can't be edited or archived there. A program asks them once the section is added under Custom Sections on the program's 2 Configuration page. In a report they work like (e) fields.
The built-in Emergency Contact and Medical Information sections aren't (es) fields: their answers are standard columns with no code, such as Emergency Contact Name.
(c) Custom field
(c) marks a custom field from Administration > Configurations > Custom Fields. Which records it covers depends on the report. In Enrollment Information, (c) columns hold the enrollee's Player field (or Parent field, for an adult who registered), the family's Account field, Internal Enrollment fields and the assigned team's Team fields.
Examples: (c) School, (c) Jersey #
(c+) Extended custom field
(c+) appears only in Enrollment Information. It repeats each Parent custom field for the two adults on the account: (c+) Customer and the field name for the account holder, and (c+) Customer 2 and the field name for the second parent. Use it when a player is the enrollee and you need a parent's answer. These are the same Parent fields you see on the Custom Fields page.
Example: a Parent field named Employer shows as (c+) Customer Employer and (c+) Customer 2 Employer.
(a) Add-on
(a) marks an add-on (buy item). In Enrollment Information and Roster Enrollment, a column named (a) and the add-on's name reads Yes or No for each registration, and more columns give the details: Variance and Variance 2 (the options chosen, such as a size, for an add-on that has them), Item Text (for an add-on that asks for text), Item Cost and Quantity. In Reservation Information, the (a) columns are your facility add-ons.
Example: an add-on named Team Photo gives (a) Team Photo, (a) Team Photo Item Cost and (a) Team Photo Quantity.
(t) Terms and Conditions
(t) marks one of your Terms and Conditions, in Enrollment Information and Roster Enrollment. The (t) column with the terms' name reads Yes or No for whether the registrant accepted them, and the matching Revision column shows the ID of the version they accepted.
(r) Reservation field
(r) appears only in Reservation Information. It marks a question from Facility Reservation > Configurations > Reservation Fields, with each reservation's answer.
(w) Workflow item
(w) appears only in Enrollment Information, for admins with access to Workflows. Choose a Workflow, then move (w) Workflow Items into Show these fields in this order. When the report runs, it becomes three columns for each item in that workflow: the item's name (Complete or Incomplete), its Public Comments and its Internal Comments.
Which field should I use?

| (c) | Custom fields (player, parent, account, team, roster or internal) | Many reports, including Enrollment Information |
| (c+) | Parent custom fields, for the account holder (Customer) and the second parent (Customer 2) | Enrollment Information |
| (a) | Add-ons on programs or facilities | Enrollment Information, Roster Enrollment, Reservation Information |
| (t) | Terms and Conditions: accepted, and which version | Enrollment Information, Roster Enrollment |
| (r) | Reservation Fields on facility reservations | Reservation Information |
| (w) | Workflow items, with their comments | Enrollment Information, with a Workflow chosen |
Good to know
- The key printed under the field lists reads "Custom field key: (a) = Add-on; (c) = Custom; (c+) = Extended Custom; (e) = Enrollment; (r) Reservation; (t) = Terms." It doesn't list (es) or (w).
- Available fields lists every field your organization has, even when nobody in your report answered it. That column is simply empty.
- When two fields have similar names, such as an enrollment field and a custom field both named Shirt Size, the code tells you which one you're picking.
- In Enrollment Information and Roster Enrollment, once you check programs, only the (e) and (es) fields on those programs are listed.
- Mail Merge documents use the same codes inside braces, such as {(e) Shirt Size} or {(c) School}. Terms and Conditions there use (terms) instead of (t).
