he Fundraiser role gives a staff member or volunteer full use of Raise without administrator access to the rest of your site. It includes every Raise page and both Raise report dashboards.
What the Fundraiser role can do
| Task | Administrator | Fundraiser only |
|---|---|---|
| See Raise in the admin menu and use the Raise Dashboard | Yes | Yes |
| Create, edit, and copy campaigns | Yes | Yes |
| Change Raise > Configurations > General, including the payment gateway and tax details | Yes | Yes |
| Use the Raise Donations and Raise P2P dashboards | Yes | Yes, from the buttons on the Raise Dashboard |
| Resend a receipt | Yes | Yes |
| Refund a donation | Yes | No, refunds need access to customer accounts |
| Use other admin areas, such as Programs or Customers | Yes | No |
The Fundraiser role doesn't include the Reports menu, so fundraisers open the report dashboards with the Donations Dashboard and P2P Dashboard buttons on the Raise Dashboard.
Assign the role
- Go to Administration > Manage Users > Users.
- Click the pencil icon next to the user. To add someone new, see How do I add an Admin to our website?
- On the Roles tab, check Fundraiser.
- If the person shouldn't have full access, make sure Administrator is unchecked. The Administrator role overrides every other role.
- Click Save.
Good to know
- Fundraisers can change your payment gateway and tax details, so give the role to people you trust with that.
- To let a fundraiser process refunds too, also give them a role with access to customer accounts.
- Someone with neither the Administrator nor the Fundraiser role doesn't see Raise. If they open a Raise page link, they're sent to the admin sign-in page.
- For more on how roles combine, see Admin Role Permissions, Overrides & Access Management.
