A multi-team coach coaches more than one team in the same season. TeamSideline spots these coaches automatically and warns you when their games are too close together. Both versions of Auto Resolve can move games to fix it.
Turn on Multi-Team Coach
Go to Schedules > Configurations > General and find the Multi-Team Coach section.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Multi-Team Coach | Enabled or Disabled. It's on unless someone has turned it off |
| Travel Time | Minutes a coach needs between games, from 0 to 180 |
| Alternate Email | Choose Yes to also match coaches by their alternate email address |
| Scope | Across Sports checks every sport. Within Sport only checks teams in the same sport |
How TeamSideline finds multi-team coaches
You don't link coaches by hand. Two teams count as having the same coach when their team contacts share a primary email address. If Alternate Email is Yes, alternate email addresses count too. Only teams in active leagues of the same season are compared.
On 2 Teams, the Special Requests column shows "Note: Multi-Team Coach" with the coach's other teams.
See a coach's games
On 4 Create Schedule, click MT Coaches. The Multi-Team Coaches page shows each coach's teams side by side, by date, and highlights conflicts in yellow.
The button appears only when Multi-Team Coach is on, the division has a team with a multi-team coach, and your role includes the MTC Page permission.

When a game counts as a conflict
A game conflicts when it starts too close to the coach's other game. "Too close" means within the Travel Time plus the division's Game Spacing, before or after the other game. Game Spacing is on the division's 1 Configuration page.
For example, with a Travel Time of 30 minutes and Game Spacing of 60 minutes, the coach's games must start at least 90 minutes apart. Games in the other division's TBD time slots aren't checked.
4 Create Schedule shows each one as a Multi-Team Coach Conflict warning. The warning names the coach, the other team, its division and league, and its location and time.
To list every game flagged for a multi-team coach, go to Reports > Report Exports, open the Games Report, and choose the multi-team coach option under Include Only.
How Auto Resolve handles coach conflicts
Standard Auto Resolve treats a multi-team coach conflict as the worst kind. It fixes coach conflicts before team schedule conflicts.
AI Auto Resolve keeps coaches' games at least the Travel Time plus Game Spacing apart, while Resolve Multi Team Coach Conflicts is included in AI Auto Resolve Settings. By default that priority is last in the list, so it's the first to give way when a game has nowhere else to go. If coach conflicts matter most to you, drag it to the top.
Both versions work from the other division's saved schedule. If you're changing both divisions, save one before you run Auto Resolve on the other.
