TeamSideline keeps a list of holiday dates and warns you when a game falls on one. The warning doesn't stop you from playing on a holiday. AI Auto Resolve, however, always moves games off holidays unless they're locked.
How holidays show on your schedule
There's no separate holiday list on the page. When a game falls on a holiday, 4 Create Schedule shows a Holiday Conflict alert:
- An HC circle in the game's Date cell, with the tooltip "Holiday Conflict"
- An entry in the alert list at the top of the page, such as "Holiday Conflict - Labor Day (9/7/2026)"
A Holiday Conflict is a warning, not a critical alert, so Calc & Save still saves the schedule. Games in TBD time slots don't get holiday alerts.
Hide a holiday warning
If you plan to play on a holiday, you can hide its warning:
- In the alert list, click the red X next to the Holiday Conflict.
- The X turns into a check mark, and the warning is hidden.
Hiding a warning only affects you, and only in that division. Other admins still see it. To bring back every warning you've hidden in the division, click Clear Filters.
Hiding warnings needs the Warning Filtering permission. If you don't see the red X, your role or plan doesn't include it.
How Auto Resolve treats holidays
AI Auto Resolve treats every date on TeamSideline's holiday list as off-limits:
- It moves games that are on a holiday, even if you hid the warning.
- It never moves a game onto a holiday.
- No setting changes this. It isn't one of the Optimization Priorities.
To keep a game on a holiday, lock it, then click Calc & Save before you run AI Auto Resolve. Locked games never move.
Standard Auto Resolve doesn't check holidays. It won't move a game off a holiday, and it can move a game onto one.
Good to know
- TeamSideline maintains the holiday list, and it's the same for every organization. You can't add or remove dates.
- A warning appears only when a game's date matches a holiday exactly.
