The Schedule Week setting is hidden by default. To see it, tick the Show All check box at the top right of Division Schedule Configurations on the division's 1 Configuration > Scheduling page. Schedule Week decides whether a schedule week runs Sun - Sat (the default) or Mon - Sun. You can only change it before the division has a schedule.
Applies to: Admins and schedulers · Standard league divisions
Where: Schedules > Leagues & Divisions > (division) > 1 Configuration > Scheduling > Division Schedule Configurations > Show All
Why you might need Schedule Week
TeamSideline numbers schedule weeks from Sunday through Saturday by default. If a division plays on both Saturday and Sunday, a Saturday game is counted in one week and the next day's Sunday game is counted in the following week. Parents then see one weekend split across two week numbers.
Set Schedule Week to Mon - Sun so that Saturday and Sunday games from the same weekend are in the same week.
How to show and change Schedule Week for a division
- Go to Schedules > Leagues & Divisions.
- Click the division's Edit Division (pencil) icon, or open its More Options menu and choose 1 Configuration > Scheduling.
- Find the Division Schedule Configurations area and tick Show All at its top right. Schedule Week and Optimization Priority only appear while Show All is ticked. TeamSideline remembers whether you left it ticked.
- Set Schedule Week to Sun - Sat or Mon - Sun.
- Click Save, or Save and Next Step to continue to 2 Teams. You'll see "Division configuration updated."
Tip: If you don't see Schedule Week on the Scheduling page, check that Show All is ticked. It isn't on a different page.
If the division already has a schedule
You can't change Schedule Week after a Regular, 2nd Half or Playoff schedule has been created for the division. Set it as part of the division's configuration before you create the schedule. If a schedule already exists, you can:
- Keep the schedule as it is and accept how its weeks are numbered, or
- Delete the schedule and create it again: delete the schedule on 4 Create Schedule, change Schedule Week on 1 Configuration > Scheduling (tick Show All), click Save, and then go back to 4 Create Schedule to create the schedule again. Creating it again can change the games and matchups.
To keep games you've already built, support has suggested that you first export the game schedule, then delete it, change Schedule Week and import the games back into the division.
Set a default for new divisions (Sport Defaults)
To have new divisions of a sport start with Mon - Sun, go to Schedules > Configurations > Sport Defaults, choose the Sport Type, and set Schedule Week under Division Schedule Configurations. Then click Save.
Important: Sport Defaults only sets the starting values for divisions created later. It does not change divisions you already have. To change a division you already have, use the steps above on that division's 1 Configuration > Scheduling page (with Show All ticked).
Common questions
I created a new division and there's no option to choose when the week starts.
Tick Show All in Division Schedule Configurations on 1 Configuration > Scheduling. Schedule Week appears once it's ticked.
I changed Sport Defaults to Mon - Sun but my division's weeks didn't change.
Sport Defaults doesn't update existing divisions. Change Schedule Week on the division itself. If the division already has a schedule, see "If the division already has a schedule" above.
