Copy a calendar link from TeamSideline, then add it on your iPhone or iPad as a subscribed calendar: in Settings, open the Calendar accounts, tap Add Account > Other > Add Subscribed Calendar and paste the link. On an iPhone, the TeamSideline app's Subscribe does the same for your Team Site calendar in a few taps. The games then show in the Calendar app and update on their own.
Applies to: Parents, players, coaches and fans · All plans · iPhone and iPad, with links from Team Sites and your organization's website
Where: iOS 18 and later: Settings > Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts > Add Account > Other > Add Subscribed Calendar (iOS 14 to 17: Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account > Other > Add Subscribed Calendar). The links: Team Sites > Calendar or a team's Events page, Subscribe to this Calendar; your organization's website > a division's schedule > Subscribe, or the Calendar page > Subscribe to this Calendar.
Step 1: Copy the calendar link
Each link is its own calendar, so pick the one with the events you want. You can copy it in Safari on the iPhone, or on a computer and send it to yourself.
| You want | Where to copy the link |
|---|---|
| All your teams, plus the teams you follow with Family & Friends | Sign in to your Team Site and open Calendar in the menu. Tap (or point to) the info icon, an exclamation point in a circle, next to Subscribe to this Calendar, and copy the link in the box. |
| One team only | On your Team Site, open Teams, your team, then Events. Tap the info icon next to Subscribe to this Calendar and copy the link. It holds only that team's events. |
| A division's games, for every team or for one team | On your organization's website, open the division's schedule and tap Subscribe. Copy the link next to All Teams, or the one next to your team's name. |
| Your organization's calendar | On your organization's website, open the Calendar page, tap the info icon next to Subscribe to this Calendar and copy the link. |
Picking a team in the Team Site Calendar page's team list changes only what the page shows, not its link. For one team's calendar, use that team's Events page.
Step 2: Add the link on your iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings.
- On iOS 18 and later, tap Apps, then Calendar, then Calendar Accounts. On iOS 14 to 17, tap Calendar, then Accounts.
- Tap Add Account, then Other.
- Tap Add Subscribed Calendar.
- Paste the link into Server.
- Tap Next, then Save.
What you'll see: the events show in the Calendar app, in a calendar named for the link: TeamSideline Calendar for a Team Site link, the league, season and division for a division link, or your organization's name followed by Calendar for an organization link.
Or subscribe in the TeamSideline app (iPhone)
- Sign in to the TeamSideline app and open the Calendar.
- Tap the more options icon at the top right, then Subscribe.
- When your iPhone asks to subscribe to "TeamSideline Calendar", tap Subscribe.
- On the Add Subscription Calendar screen, which shows the link, tap Find, then the check mark at the top right.
The Calendar app opens with your Team Site calendar: all your teams plus the teams you follow. The app offers Subscribe only on iPhones. On an Android phone, add the link in Google Calendar on a computer instead (see the Google Calendar article below).
What you'll see
- TeamSideline updates what a link shows within about 10 minutes of a change. Your iPhone picks up the change the next time it checks the calendar, on its own schedule.
- Team Site and organization calendar links show events from about 90 days ago to a year ahead.
- You can't change TeamSideline events in the Calendar app. Changes come from your team's staff or your organization.
If it doesn't work
- "Cannot Create Account - An identical Subscribed Calendar account already exists." This iPhone already has a subscription with that link. Use the one you have, or delete it (see the unsubscribe article below) and add the link again.
- The calendar is added, but it's empty. Make sure the games show on the page you copied the link from. A Team Site link includes only teams whose roster lists you under the email address you sign in with, and skips teams you've hidden. A division link shows games only while your organization shows that schedule on its website. The troubleshooting article listed below has more fixes.
- The iPhone won't take the link. Copy the whole link, from http:// or https:// to the end, and paste it into Server under Add Subscribed Calendar. Don't download a calendar file instead: an imported file is a copy that never updates.
- There's no Subscribe in the app. Copy your Team Site link on the web (Step 1) and add it in Settings (Step 2).
- A change hasn't reached your calendar. Give your iPhone time to check again. To get the latest events at once, delete the subscription and add the link again.
- Times are off by an hour or more. A Team Site link uses the Time Zone on your Team Site's My Account page: tap or click your name at the top of any Team Site page, pick your time zone and save. Division and organization links use your organization's time zone, so tell your organization if those are wrong.
Good to know
- Your Team Site link is personal: anyone who has it can see your teams' events, with locations and staff notes. Share it only with your family.
- A team drops off your Team Site link when you're taken off its roster, when its Team Site is archived, or when you hide the team.
- Google Calendar, Android phones and Outlook use their own steps: see the articles below.
