To stop a TeamSideline calendar from showing in your calendar app, remove the subscription in that app: TeamSideline can't remove it for you. On an iPhone, removing the old subscription also clears the "An identical Subscribed Calendar account already exists" message, so you can subscribe again.
Applies to: Parents, players, coaches and fans with a subscribed TeamSideline calendar · All plans · iPhone and iPad, Google Calendar (and Android), Outlook
Where: iPhone or iPad: Settings > Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts > Subscribed Calendars; Google Calendar on a computer: Other calendars; Outlook: Calendar, in the calendar list
Find the right calendar
A TeamSideline calendar carries the name of the link you subscribed to:
- TeamSideline Calendar: a Team Site link (all your teams, or one team from its Events page).
- The league and division name: a division schedule link from your organization's website.
- Your organization's name followed by Calendar: your organization's calendar link.
Remove it from an iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings, tap Apps, then Calendar. On iOS 14 to 17, tap Calendar in Settings.
- Tap Calendar Accounts (Accounts on iOS 14 to 17).
- Tap Subscribed Calendars, then the TeamSideline calendar.
- Tap Delete Account, then tap Delete Account again to confirm.
If you added the calendar in the Calendar app instead, open Calendar, tap Calendars at the bottom, tap the info button next to the TeamSideline calendar, and tap Delete Calendar.
Remove it from Google Calendar (and your Android phone)
- On a computer, go to calendar.google.com.
- On the left, under Other calendars, point to the TeamSideline calendar and click the X (Unsubscribe).
- Click Remove calendar to confirm.
The calendar leaves your Android phone the next time Google Calendar syncs. The Google Calendar phone app can only hide a calendar or stop syncing it, not remove it.
Remove it from Outlook
Outlook on the web, Outlook.com and the new Outlook for Windows
- Open Calendar.
- In the calendar list on the left, usually under Other calendars, right-click the TeamSideline calendar.
- Click Remove, and confirm.
Classic Outlook for Windows
- Click File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
- Open the Internet Calendars tab.
- Select the TeamSideline calendar and click Remove, then confirm.
Subscribe again to refresh a calendar
If a subscription stops updating or still shows old games, remove it as above, copy the link again from TeamSideline, and subscribe again. This is also how you swap one link for another, for example your all-teams Team Site link for one team's link. The subscribe steps are in the Google, iPhone and Outlook articles below.
If it doesn't work
- "Cannot Create Account - An identical Subscribed Calendar account already exists." (iPhone or iPad) The device already has a subscription with that link. Use the one you have, or delete it (see the iPhone steps above) and add the link again.
- The calendar is still on your phone after you removed it. It's synced from another account. Remove it where it was added: in Google Calendar on a computer for an Android phone, or in Outlook on the web for the Outlook app.
- You can't find a TeamSideline calendar to remove. Look for the names listed under Find the right calendar. A calendar named for your organization or a division comes from your organization's website, not from TeamSideline.com.
Good to know
- TeamSideline doesn't keep a list of calendar subscriptions, so Support can't remove one from your phone or computer. Only the calendar app can.
- Removing a calendar changes nothing in TeamSideline: you stay on your teams, and reminder emails keep coming. To stop those, see How to turn off game and practice reminder emails (below).
- To drop one team from your Team Site calendar without unsubscribing, hide the team on your Team Site (Teams > All Teams): its events leave the link.
- A team also leaves your Team Site link on its own when you're taken off its roster or its Team Site is archived.
