To manage your Editor 2.0 website's pages, go to Content > Site Editor and click Pages in the left sidebar. Click + Add Page to add a page, or use the three-dot menu next to a page to rename, duplicate, move, hide or delete it, then click Republish to put the change on your live website.
Applies to: Org admins with Site Editor access · All plans, for organizations with Editor 2.0 (the CMS module) · Editor 2.0 (CMS)
Where: Content > Site Editor > Pages
Open the Pages panel
- On your admin site, go to Content > Site Editor.
- Click Pages in the left sidebar.
The panel has two tabs: Pages, with every page on your website, and Popups, for pop-up content. Folders in the list only group pages. To edit a page inside a folder, expand the folder and click the page.
Add a page
- In the Pages panel, click + Add Page.
- Choose the type of page from the list (see the table below).
- Name the page and add your content.
- Click Republish.
| Page type | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Page Builder | Plan the page layout visually before you add content |
| Blank Page | Start from an empty page |
| Designed Page | Start from a ready-made page design |
| Dynamic Page | Advanced: pages that share one layout but show different content from a collection |
| Navigation Folder | A drop-down group in your menu for other pages; it has no content of its own |
| Page URL | A menu item that opens another website, such as an outside registration site |
To match your template's page header: the pages TeamSideline set up for you, such as stats pages, division schedules and facilities, have a page header in your template's style. To give a new page the same look, duplicate one of those pages and change its widget, instead of starting from a blank page.
Rename, duplicate, move, hide or delete a page
- In the Pages panel, click the three-dot menu next to the page.
- Choose what to do:
- Rename: changes the page's name and its label in your menu.
- Duplicate: copies the page and all its content.
- Move: changes where the page sits in your menu.
- Hide from navigation: keeps the page live but takes it off your menu.
- Delete: removes the page and its content.
- Click Republish.
You can also drag a page up or down the list to reorder your menu, and drag it right or left to put it into a folder (a drop-down) or take it out.
Show a hidden page again
A hidden page is still on your website: anyone with its link can open it, and you can point a button at it. To put it back on your menu, click the three-dot menu next to it, choose Show in navigation, and republish.
Pages to leave alone
- Store and Donations. These are system pages, and some of their settings are locked, including showing or hiding them in navigation. What they list comes from Programs > Store/Donations Setup on your admin site: see CMS: Add a Store or Donations page to your website.
If it doesn't work
- Your change isn't on your live website. Click Republish. Page changes, including hiding or deleting a page, reach your live website only when you republish.
- The option to show or hide a page in navigation is grayed out. It's a system page, such as Store or Donations. Contact TeamSideline Support to change it.
- Program, schedule or stats links open the wrong page or an empty one. Contact TeamSideline Support.
- You can't find a page to edit. It may be inside a folder. Expand the folder in the Pages panel and click the page.
- Old links to a page stopped working after you changed its address. Change addresses with Page URL in the page's three-dot menu, accept the redirect it offers so old links still work, and then republish the whole site.
- You deleted a page by mistake. Contact TeamSideline Support as soon as possible.
Good to know
- Drop-down menus and outside links are made with the Navigation Folder and Page URL page types in + Add Page.
- Coming from the legacy content editor? There, your menu tabs are managed at Content > Configurations > Site Pages, which isn't part of Editor 2.0. See How to rename, reorder or hide a menu tab (Legacy content editor).
- Who can manage pages. Any admin who can open the Site Editor. If Site Editor isn't on your Content menu, see CMS: How to open the Site Editor (and what to do if you can't).
