If you want to hide a registration program from the public while allowing a specific group of participants to register early, use a Private Registration Program.

This is commonly used for:

• Returning players get early registration before new players.
• Priority registration for previous participants.
• Invite-only registration.
• Members-only registration.
• Sending a private registration link by email.
• Keeping a program hidden until public registration opens.

How Private Registration Works

A Private Registration Program is hidden from your public registration page, but anyone with the unique access link can still register.

When you're ready to open registration to everyone, simply make the program visible and it will appear on your public registration page.

How to Set it Up

1. Create your program

Create your program as you normally would.

On the Configuration tab:

• Set the Offering Registration Start Date to today or an earlier date so registration is open.
• Configure the rest of the program as needed.

2. Create an Access Code

On the Configuration tab:

1. Scroll to the bottom.
2. Click Add Access.
3. Create an access code for the program.
4. Save your changes.

This access code generates the private registration link you'll send to participants.

3. Hide the program

On the Programs list, make sure the Visibility (eyeball) icon is red.

A red eyeball means:

• The program is not visible to the public.
• Anyone with the private access link can still register.

4. Email the private registration link

Go to:

Communications > Send Communication

When composing your email:

1. Place your cursor where you want the registration link.
2. Select Links from the toolbar.
3. Expand Program Access.
4. Select the access code you created.

TeamSideline inserts the private registration link into your email.

Send the email to the players, families, or members who should receive early access. This ONLY works for emails sent out through the TeamSideline communication tool.

Open Registration to Everyone

When you're ready for public registration:

1. Return to the Programs list.
2. Click the Visibility (eyeball) icon until it turns green.

The program will immediately appear on your public registration page, provided the registration dates are open.
