On an iPhone, you can ask Siri to send a message to one of your teams in the TeamSideline app, to tell you about your next game, or to show your schedule for today, tomorrow or the next 7 days. Say "TeamSideline" in the request, using the phrases below.
Applies to: Parents, players, coaches and team staff · All plans · TeamSideline app for iPhone, with Siri
Where: Your iPhone: say "Hey Siri" or press and hold the side button, with the TeamSideline app installed and signed in
Before you start
- Install the TeamSideline app on your iPhone and sign in with the email address on your team's roster.
- Turn on Siri in your iPhone's Settings if it isn't on already.
- Allow TeamSideline to work with Siri: in Settings, open the Siri settings (called Siri, Siri & Search, or Apple Intelligence & Siri, depending on your iOS version), tap TeamSideline in the list of apps, and turn on its Siri option.
Send a message to your team
- Say "Send a message to", then your team's name, then "with TeamSideline". For example: "Send a message to The Bulldogs with TeamSideline". "Send a message with TeamSideline to The Bulldogs" works too.
- If you're on more than one team with a similar name, Siri asks which team you mean. Choose the team.
- Tell Siri your message, then confirm when Siri asks whether to send it.
What you'll see: Siri sends the message to your team in the TeamSideline app, the same way as a message you type in the team's chat.

If it doesn't work
- Siri doesn't understand the request, or answers without TeamSideline. Include "TeamSideline" and use one of the phrases above. Check that TeamSideline is allowed to work with Siri in your iPhone's Settings, and update the TeamSideline app to its latest version.
- Siri can't find your team. Say the team's name the way it appears in the TeamSideline app. If the team isn't in your app at all, you may be signed in with an email address that isn't on the team's roster: see Why can't I see my team in the TeamSideline app? under Related articles.
- You have an Android phone. These voice commands use Siri, so they work only on an iPhone.
Good to know
- Use the phrases on this page. Other wording may not reach TeamSideline.
- A message you send with Siri is a team chat message like any other: everyone in that chat sees it, and your organization's admins can read team chats.
- To read and reply to messages, or to see more of the schedule, open the TeamSideline app.
