Overview
The Post Game Reports page lets you review the reports officials submit after each game and mark games as payable before you run a batch report. You reach it by going to Schedules > Official Management > Assignments > Post Game Reports.
A few basics that prevent most issues:
- Only officials can complete Post Game Reports, admins cannot submit them on an official's behalf.
- Post Game Reports become available to an official right after the game's scheduled start time.
- An official can sign in and complete their Post Game Report even if they did not receive a confirmation email for the assignment.
- In the Game Report column, Pending means the official has not submitted yet, and Attended means they completed the report and confirmed attendance.
A game is missing from the Post Game Reports page
If a game that was scheduled and assigned does not appear, work through these causes in order:
- Check your filters. Use the Filter button and confirm the date range, league, and division include the game you expect. A narrow or wrong date range is the most common reason games are missing.
- Confirm the official is assigned and not Pending. Games only appear once an official is in Confirmed/Assigned status. If the official is still in Pending status, the game will not show. Check assignments under Schedules > Official Management > Assignments.
- Make sure the teams are assigned. If the game still shows TBD instead of actual team names, it will not display on Post Game Reports. Replace the TBD placeholders with the actual teams in the schedule.
- For playoff games, enter the scores first. Playoff games do not show up until the scores from the previous games are entered so the bracket advances and the teams populate. Score the earlier games, then the playoff game will appear.
- Check how the game is marked in the schedule. If a game was marked as not played, it will not appear. Changing it to Score Not Kept has resolved this in the past.
Reports disappear after you run a batch report
After a batch report has been run, the Post Game Reports view can look empty. This is usually a filter setting, not lost data:
- On the Post Game Reports page, click Filter and change the Status from Pending to All. Games included in a batch will then reappear.
- Alternatively, view the same information by running the Officials Game Report under Reports > Report Exports for the date range you need.
Games are not picked up when running a batch (officials not paid)
To include an official's games in a batch report, the games must be marked Payable. On the Post Game Reports page, use the Yes/No buttons in the Payable column to mark each game to be paid. Games that are not marked Payable will not be picked up by the batch.
The page times out or loads slowly
Loading a very wide date range (or using an "All" option that reaches back across multiple seasons) can cause the page to time out. Use the from and to date fields in the Filter to narrow the range to just the dates you need.
Duplicate Post Game Reports
Duplicates can occur when a report or score is submitted more than once — for example, if an official taps Save in the mobile app, sees no confirmation, and taps it again. Admins cannot remove duplicate Post Game Reports themselves.
- Note the affected official, date, game time, and location.
- Contact TeamSideline Support and provide those details so the backend team can remove the duplicates.
An official needs to change a submitted report
An official can edit their own Post Game Report using the pencil icon only before it has been submitted. Once it is submitted, the official must contact their Officials Coordinator to request changes.
Adding custom questions to the Post Game Report
To collect additional information from officials on their Post Game Report:
- Go to Administration > Configurations > Custom Fields.
- Click Add Custom Field.
- For Category, select Official Game Report.
- Add the questions or fields you want officials to complete.
These fields will then appear on the officials' Post Game Report.
