To bring back an archived program, go to Programs > Archived Programs and click the green arrow (Un-archive Program) on its row. The program and its league return to your active lists with everything they had. Un-archiving doesn't reopen registration, so check the program's dates and its eye icon afterward.
Applies to: Org admins (un-archiving needs the Delete permission under Manage Programs) · All plans · All registration programs
Where: Programs > Archived Programs
Un-archive a program
- Go to Programs > Archived Programs.
- Find the program. To narrow the list, type part of its name in the box under Program, or part of its season under Season.
- Click the green arrow icon (Un-archive Program) at the right of its row.
- Click OK when asked "Are you sure you want to un-archive Program "program name"?"
The picture in step 3 shows the green arrow icon you click.
What you'll see: "The Program "program name" and associated League has been unarchived." The program leaves Archived Programs and is back on Programs > Manage Programs with its offerings, enrollments and settings. Its league is back under Schedules > Leagues & Divisions. For a Team Registration plus Roster program, the roster side comes back too.
Why it may still not show to families
Un-archiving puts the program back exactly as it was: it doesn't change its eye icon or its dates. On Programs > Manage Programs, check its row:
- Pgm Status is Closed and the eye icon is grayed out. The program's Program Duration has ended. Open 1 Setup, move Program Duration Ends to a later date and click Save.
- Reg Status is Closed or Not Open Yet. Registration follows each offering's dates. On 2 Configuration, click the Edit icon on each offering and set Reg. Duration (and any Early or Late Reg. Duration) for the new period.
- The eye icon is red. The program is hidden. Click the eye when you're ready for families to see it. If the program was visible when it was archived, it's visible again right away, and families can register as soon as its dates are open.
For every cause, see Why isn't my program showing to families? (Pgm Status, Reg Status and the visibility eye).
Running a program again next season
To run the same program again, copy it rather than un-archiving and reusing last season's program, so last season's enrollments, rosters and payments stay with the old one. On Programs > Manage Programs, click Copy Program. Archived programs are listed there with "(Archived)" after the name, so you don't need to un-archive a program to copy it.
Archive a program
- On Programs > Manage Programs, click the program's name and open 1 Setup.
- Under Archive Program, check Yes, archive this program.
- Click Save.
What you'll see: the program moves to Archived Programs and its league to Schedules > Archived Leagues. While it's archived, clicking its name on Archived Programs opens the program's dashboard, but its 1 Setup and 2 Configuration pages can't be saved. Un-archive it to make changes.
If it doesn't work
- There's no green arrow or red X on the rows. Your admin role doesn't include the Delete permission under Manage Programs, which both icons need. Ask an admin who manages your users.
- "All the team sites associated with the program "program name" must be archived prior to archiving this program. To do this, click on the "Team Sites" link above and archive each team site." Archive the program's team sites first (5 Team Sites), then archive the program.
- On Schedules > Archived Leagues, a league's icons are grayed out ("Unable to Un-archive League due to program association"). That league belongs to a program. If the program is archived, un-archive it here and its league comes back with it. If the program is still active (its league was archived with Archive Season on Schedules > Leagues & Divisions), open the program's 1 Setup and click Save: the league becomes current again. Leagues made on the Schedules tab alone have Un-archive League and Delete League icons there.
- The program isn't on Archived Programs. It may still be active on Manage Programs, or it was deleted.
Good to know
- Deleting isn't archiving. The red X (Delete Program) on Archived Programs removes the program and its league from your site after you confirm ("The Program "program name" has been deleted."). You can't restore a deleted program yourself. Contact TeamSideline Support if you deleted one by mistake.
- Archiving and un-archiving don't delete enrollments, rosters or payments.
- If your site uses program categories (a Category field on 1 Setup), Archived Programs groups the programs by category.
