On a Team Registration plus Roster, both buttons download the roster as a PDF with player photos, but they're two different reports. Print Roster prints TeamSideline's standard photo roster, with the team's coach, assistant coach and manager, and appears when the program has Enable Member Pass on. Picture Roster prints a second layout that lists only the staff who are on the team through a volunteer registration; it appears only when your plan includes Youth Picture Roster. On other program types you'll see at most one of them.
Applies to: Admins · Picture Roster: Enhanced, Elite and Enterprise plans; Print Roster's photo roster: programs with Enable Member Pass on · Team Registration plus Youth or Adult Roster Registration, individual registration and Team Registration programs
Where: Programs > Manage Programs > (program) > 4 Rosters > (team name)

Which one to use
- In Team Registration plus Roster programs, use Print Roster for a complete roster: it includes the team manager and the staff's email addresses.
- In individual registration programs, Picture Roster is the photo roster; there's no Print Roster button there.
- Photos come from the registrations, and jersey numbers from fields with exact names, for both. How to print a Picture Roster (admins and coaches) explains where each comes from.
If it doesn't work
- There's no Print Roster button on a Team Registration plus Roster team. The program's Enable Member Pass is No. That setting shows on the program's 1 Setup page only when your organization has Member Passes and at least one member pass.
- There's no Picture Roster button. Your plan doesn't include Youth Picture Roster (it comes with the Enhanced, Elite and Enterprise plans), or your admin role doesn't. On Core or an older package, contact TeamSideline Support.
- There's no Print Roster button on a team's roster under Schedules > Leagues & Divisions > 2 Teams. There, Print Roster shows only when the league belongs to a registration program (and your role includes Team Rosters) or the division's Show Extended Roster is Yes (1 Configuration > Display), and never once the league is archived. Otherwise, export the roster from Reports > Report Exports.
- The team manager is missing from the Picture Roster. That's expected: it lists only staff on the team through a volunteer registration. Use Print Roster.
Good to know
- Both rosters carry a QR code that opens the roster online. Anyone who scans it can see the roster, photos and birth dates included, without signing in, until the program is archived. Treat printed rosters as private.
- Team managers in Team Registration plus Roster programs print the standard photo roster with Player Cards on their team under Manage Rosters, when Enable Member Pass is Yes. Their Print Roster button is a different printout, the Roster Waiver, and shows only for programs set to print waivers.
- Coaches who sign in on your website see Picture Roster in their team's Roster section under Team Information when your plan includes Youth Picture Roster. It prints the same Picture Roster layout.
