A User ID is one person's TeamSideline sign-in and stays the same in every organization they use. A Customer ID is one family's account in your organization, a Player ID or Parent ID is one person on that account, and on a registration the Enrollee Id is the ID of whoever was registered.
Applies to: Org admins · All plans · Customer accounts, reports and imports
Where: Customers > Account Management > Search; Reports > Report Exports; Reports > Report Dashboards > Enrollments; Administration > Import Data

User ID
- Belongs to a person who signs in to TeamSideline with an email address and password. One person has one User ID, and it's the same in every organization they sign in to.
- Where: the User Id column in the search results on Customers > Account Management > Search. A player's row shows the primary parent's User Id, and an adult who has no sign-in of their own shows 0.
Customer ID (Account Id)
- Belongs to one family's account in your organization: the parents or guardians and players who share it all have the same Customer ID.
- Accounts belong to one organization, so a family registered with two organizations has a different Customer ID in each, while each parent keeps one User ID.
- Where: the Customer Id column in Search results. Reports and imports call it Account Id: the Account Information, Add-On, Add-On Missing and Who's Not Enrolled reports, and the Account Id that the Transaction Import and the Assigned Coupon Import ask for. The Account Notes report calls it Customer Id.
Player ID and Parent ID
- Each person on an account has an ID of their own: a Player ID for each player and a Parent ID for each parent or guardian.
- Where: the Player Id - TeamSideline column in the Enrollment Information and Account Information reports. It's the ID the Player Custom Field Import asks for.
- In Enrollment Information, the Customer Id and Customer 2 Id columns hold the Parent IDs of the account's primary and second parent, not the account's Customer ID. The Parent Custom Field Import (By Id) asks for one of these as Customer or Customer 2 Id.
Enrollee Id
- On each registration, the ID of the person registered: the Player ID on player registrations, or the Parent ID on adult (General), volunteer and sponsorship registrations.
- Where: the Enrollee Id column in the Enrollment Information report.
Customer Member Id
- A separate number for each person on an account in your organization, parents, guardians and players alike.
- How it differs: unlike a User ID, every player has one and it belongs to the account in your organization, not to a sign-in. Unlike a Customer ID, it names one person, not the family.
- Where: the Customer Member Id column in Search results, and the Customer Member Id box on the Search page. Enter numbers only; when you search by it, the other search boxes are ignored. It's also a column on Reports > Report Dashboards > Enrollments, and a field you can print on member passes (Customer Member ID).
Your organization's own Player Id
- Some organizations keep a number of their own for each player or adult, such as a league or state ID. It's separate from every TeamSideline ID above and can be up to 25 characters.
- To use it, set Player Id to Yes on Customers > Configurations > General. A Player Id box then shows on each player's and adult's page for admins to fill in.
- TeamSideline can generate these numbers for your organization; ask TeamSideline Support. When it does, families see the Player Id on their player's profile, and the Search page gets a Player Id box.
- In reports it's Player Id - Organization (Enrollment Information and Account Information), and Player State ID on the Safe Roster Print Out.
If it doesn't work
- "Record not loaded due to invalid Account Id:" followed by a number. The Transaction Import or Assigned Coupon Import needs the account's ID. Use the Account Id from the Account Information report, not the Customer Id column of Enrollment Information, which holds a Parent ID.
- "Please enter a valid Customer Member Id (numbers only)." The Customer Member Id box takes digits only.
- There's no Player Id box on the Search page. It shows only when TeamSideline generates your organization's Player Ids. Search by name, email address or Customer Member Id instead.
Good to know
- A family that signed up twice ends up with two Customer IDs. To bring them together, merge the accounts; see How to merge duplicate customer accounts (Merge Accounts).
- To copy an ID into a spreadsheet for an import, export the report that holds it (Account Information for Account Id, Enrollment Information or Account Information for Player Id - TeamSideline) rather than typing it from the Search page.
