Not directly. A registration always stays with the person it was made for: the Edit Enrollment page's Edit and Transfer tabs change the offering or the program, never the person. To give a registration to someone else, cancel it and register the right person with Place Order. To move a registration, with what was paid for it, to a player on another family's account, add the player to that account and ask TeamSideline Support to move it.

Which tool moves what
| You want to move the registration to | Use | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Another offering in the same program | Edit Enrollment > Edit tab > Offering | Stays the same person |
| Another program | Edit Enrollment > Transfer tab (accepted registrations only; not team registrations or Youth Camp programs) | Stays the same person |
| Another team in a Team Registration plus Roster program | Cancel the roster registration, then Place Order > Add to Roster | Stays the same person |
| Another child or adult on the same family account | Cancel it, then Place Order > Add Enrollment for the right person | Changes |
| A person on another family's account | Cancel it and register the person on their own account, or ask TeamSideline Support to move it | Changes |
| One family that has two accounts | Merge Accounts, which moves the people with their registrations | Stays the same person |
The Edit tab's Offering list shows only the offerings of the registration's own program, and the Transfer tab keeps the same person and only changes the program. Their steps are in the related articles below.
Give a registration to another person on the same account
For example, a parent registered the older child instead of the younger one. You cancel the wrong registration with a credit, then register the right person and let the credit pay for it.
- Go to Customers > Account Management > Search, find the customer and click their name to open Account Overview.
- Click Enrollments, then the Edit Enrollment icon (pencil) on the registration.
- Click the Cancel tab.
- In Refund Type, choose Credit and leave the Credit Amount at the registration's cost. If the order wasn't paid by card, there's no Refund Type, only the Credit Amount.
- If the enrollment has add-ons, check Cancel next to each one the new registration should replace. Their cost is added to the credit.
- If Remove from Roster shows the team the person is on, choose Yes.
- Click Confirm Cancellation. You'll see "Enrollment cancelled."
- Back on the account, click Place Order, then Add Enrollment.
- In Enrollee, choose the right person. Then choose the Enrollment Type, Program, Offering and Registration Period, and click Add.
- Click Checkout and complete each enrollment page for the new person, choosing any add-ons again.
- In Payment Method, choose Other and set Amount Paid to 0.
- Click Place Order.
What you'll see: the old registration shows as canceled on the Enrollments tab and the new one is under the right person. The credit from the cancellation offsets the new charge, so Account Overview's balance shows only the difference: an amount owed if the new registration costs more, or a credit, in parentheses, if it costs less. Add a Misc - Debit or Misc - Credit if you want to settle a difference another way.
Move a registration to another family's account
Use this when a child was registered on the wrong family's account, or a player now lives with another family that has its own account. Decide what should happen to the money first.
Option 1: Cancel it and register the person on the other account
- On the first family's account, open the registration with the Edit Enrollment icon and click the Cancel tab.
- Choose the Refund Type: Refund Credit Card to give the first family their money back, so the other family pays for the new registration; or Credit to keep the money and move it to the other family in the next step. Click Confirm Cancellation.
- If you chose Credit, move it: on the first family's Account Overview, click Add Transaction and add a Misc - Debit for the credited amount. On the other family's Account Overview, add a Misc - Credit for the same amount. In Comments on both, say where the money went.
- On the other family's Account Overview, check that the person is listed under Account Members. If not, add them with Add Player (the button uses your organization's word for participants) or, for an adult, Add Parent.
- Click Place Order, then Add Enrollment, register the person, and click Checkout.
- Record the payment: Other with an Amount Paid of 0 when the money came over as a credit, or the family's own payment.
Option 2: Ask TeamSideline Support to move it
TeamSideline Support can move a registration, together with the order it was bought on and that order's payments, to a person on another family's account. That keeps the original payment with the registration, so nothing is refunded or charged again.
- On the other family's Account Overview, add the person with Add Player or Add Parent if they aren't listed under Account Members. Support can move a registration only to someone already on that account.
- Note both families' account holders, the person, and which registrations should move (program and season).
- Contact TeamSideline Support with those details.
Everything on the same order moves with the registration, including other items bought in the same checkout, such as a sibling's registration or an add-on, and every payment and card refund recorded on that order. Tell Support about anything else on the order before they move it. Payment plans, memberships and account notes aren't moved; they stay on the first account.
Team registrations
A team registration stays with the account that registered the team, and that person is the team's manager. Admins can't move it to another person or account. In a Team Registration plus Roster program, let someone else run the team by adding them to the team's roster with the Coach role, which gives them Roster Edit. If no player has joined the team yet, you can instead cancel the team registration and have the right person register the team. Canceling a team registration deletes the team unless it already has games on a schedule ("Team will not be removed with cancelled enrollment due to existing schedules.").
If it doesn't work
- The person you want isn't in the Enrollee list on Place Order. They aren't a member of this account. Add them with Add Player or Add Parent on Account Overview first.
- Refund Credit Card isn't in the Refund Type list. The order is less than 24 hours old, or the enrollment and its add-ons cost $0. Use Credit or No Refund, or wait 24 hours to refund the card.
- There's no Transfer tab. It moves a registration only to another program for the same person, and it isn't offered for team registrations, Youth Camp programs, registrations that aren't accepted, or admins without the Transfer Enrollment permission.
- Place Order shows a warning such as "This program is full." or that the age doesn't match the offering. Warnings don't stop an admin's order; the registration is still added to the cart.
- The new registration shows "Pending" in the Paid column of the Enrollments tab. The account isn't reconciled yet. Click Reconcile on Account Overview, then Auto Reconcile (see the related article). The balance on Account Overview is what the family owes either way.
- The family is split across two accounts with several people on each. Merge the accounts instead of moving registrations one at a time.
Good to know
- A new registration doesn't copy the old one's enrollment answers or team. Answer the program's questions for the new person at checkout, and assign the team afterward on the program's rosters.
- If the old registration had a payment plan, leave Cancel Payment Plan at Yes on the Cancel tab, then set up a new plan with Add Payment Plan on Account Overview (Enhanced, Elite and Enterprise plans).
- The Cancel tab emails the family only when you check Email, except a card refund, which always sends the "Enrollment Canceled" email. At checkout, check Send Confirmation Email to Customer if the family should get a receipt for the new registration.
- When the same child is listed twice inside one account, or a merge matched the wrong people, contact TeamSideline Support. Admins can't undo a merge.
