Pitch Count tracking in TeamSideline allows Team Site Staff to record and manage pitch counts during games via their Team Site using the browser or App to access.
Note: Pitch Count is only available in the TeamSite App and is not supported via browser.
Note: Only Team Site Staff members are able to create and Edit Pitch Counts for Games.
Note: Pitch Count is a feature available upon request, please reach out to your Organization to have them get set up with this feature.
How to enter Pitch Count:
- From Team Site Home Page, click the Events tab.
- For the desired Game, tap the blue flag icon
- Tap Start Game to begin.
- Tap the player’s name in blue to select the pitcher.
- Tap it again at any time to switch players.
- Tap the appropriate pitch type button to record each pitch: Ball, In Play, Called Strike, Foul, Swing and a Miss, or Other (Hit by Pitch / Illegal Pitch).
- Each tap records one pitch and updates the counters and Pitch Summary automatically.
- Use the back arrow to undo a pitch, or the forward arrow to reinstate it.
- To advance to the next inning, tap the blue circle arrow next to the inning indicator at the top.
How to leave a game:
Only one staff member can be in a session at a time, and others will see a message blocking them from joining.
- Tapping Leave Game exits the session without ending it, so another staff member can pick up where they left off.
How to end and Finalize a Game:
- Tap End Game (top right) when finished, then confirm.
- Review the pitch summary on the Finalize screen.
- Tap Resume Game to continue recording, or Finalize Game to complete the session.
- Confirm finalization. You will be returned to the calendar, and the pitch count will be saved as read-only.
Notes: Pitch Count can only be added/edited if the game has not been scored yet or the Pitch Count has not yet been submitted as finalized. Once the game is scored and/or Pitch Count is finalized, Pitch Count for that game is locked and no further edits can be made.
