Overview
If your organization asks you to upload documents for a player — such as a birth certificate, medical clearance/medical form, report card, or other verification files — you do this from the My Account area on your organization's TeamSideline website.
Important: Document uploads must be done in a web browser. This process is not available in the TeamSideline mobile app. You do not have to use a desktop computer — a phone or tablet browser works just fine — but you must use the website rather than the app.
Before You Start
- Make sure you have an account on your organization's TeamSideline website and know your sign-in details.
- Have the file ready on the device you are using (for example, a photo or scan of the birth certificate saved to your phone).
- The document fields you see (for example, "Birth Certificate") are set up by your organization. If you do not see a field for the document you need to upload, contact your organization directly.
Step-by-Step: Upload a Document
- Open a web browser and go to your organization's TeamSideline website (for example, your league's home page).
- Click Sign In at the top right of the page and log in to your account.
- Under My Account, click Members.
- Find the player you need to upload documents for and click the pencil / edit icon to the right of that player's name.
- Locate the document upload field (for example, the Birth Certificate field), attach the file, and save your changes.
Repeat for each document the player needs.
Members vs. Team Sites — Click the Right Place
A common point of confusion: document uploads are done under Members in My Account — not under Team Sites. Clicking a team name under Team Sites opens files that a coach or team administrator shares with the team; it is not where you upload a player's verification documents. If you don't see the upload option, make sure you clicked Members under My Account and then the pencil/edit icon next to the player.
Troubleshooting
- The edit (pencil) icon is greyed out or I can't click it: Try logging out and logging back in, then return to Members and click the edit icon again.
- I don't see "Members" after logging in: Confirm you are logged into the correct account on your organization's site. If it still doesn't appear, contact your organization directly.
- The file won't attach / it says the document is still required after I add it: Make sure the file is a supported type and try re-attaching it. If it still fails, contact your organization, who can escalate to TeamSideline Support if needed.
Who to Contact for Help
Because each organization decides which documents are required and how they are configured, questions about what to upload or missing upload fields should go to your organization directly (see your league's Contact Us page). TeamSideline Technical Support assists the website administrators who run your organization's site.
