Your TeamSideline sign-in (your email address and password) is one account for every organization's website, team site and the TeamSideline app. You can delete it yourself in the TeamSideline app, or ask TeamSideline Support to delete it. Your account with each organization, with its registrations, orders and payments, belongs to that organization: ask the organization to deactivate or delete it.
Applies to: Parents, players, coaches and anyone with a TeamSideline sign-in · All plans · Organization websites, team sites and the TeamSideline app
Where: The TeamSideline app (your profile > Delete Account), or TeamSideline Support at support@teamsideline.com
What can be deleted, and who does it
| What | What it holds | Who can remove it |
|---|---|---|
| Your TeamSideline sign-in | Your email address, password and name, and the links from your sign-in to team sites, the app and official profiles | You, in the TeamSideline app, or TeamSideline Support |
| Your account with an organization | Your family members, registrations, orders and payments on that organization's website | That organization's admins. They can delete it only if it has no transactions; otherwise they can deactivate it once its balance is zero. |
An organization's admins can't delete your TeamSideline sign-in, and TeamSideline Support doesn't delete or change an organization's records for you when it deletes your sign-in.
Delete your sign-in in the TeamSideline app
- Open the TeamSideline app and sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Open your profile.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm. If the phone's keyboard covers the button, close the keyboard first.
The website has no Delete Account option. If you don't use the app, ask Support.
Ask TeamSideline Support to delete your sign-in
- Email support@teamsideline.com from the email address you sign in with. Support changes an account only for the owner of its email address.
- Say that you want your TeamSideline sign-in deleted, and include your full name and the name or website of each organization you've used.
Don't include your password. Support never needs it.
What deleting your sign-in does
- You can no longer sign in with that email address and password on any organization's website, team site or the app. A sign-in attempt shows "Login failed. Please make sure your email address and password were entered correctly, and try again. Note: Passwords are case sensitive."
- Your email address is freed, so you can create a new sign-in with it later.
- Your sign-in is disconnected from team sites, the app's teams and chats, and any officials profiles. Roster entries and chat messages stay with the team.
- If you're an admin for an organization, your admin access ends. To be an admin again later, another admin must add your new sign-in on Administration > Manage Users. Before you delete, make sure your organization has another admin, including one with the Billing role.
- Your accounts with organizations are not deleted. Your registrations, orders and payment history stay with each organization, and it can still email the address on that account.
Remove your account with an organization
- Contact the organization, for example with Contact Us on its website.
- Ask it to delete or deactivate your account.
- Delete is possible only when the account has no transactions, such as registrations, orders or payments.
- Deactivate is possible once the account's balance is zero. The organization keeps the account and its history, marked inactive. If you sign in to its website, you'll see "Your account is inactive. Please click the Contact Us button to contact (organization name) for help on reactivating your account."
- If you sign in to an organization's website after it deleted your account, a new, empty account is created for you there. If you want to stay off its site, don't sign in to it again.
- If your account with an organization still exists, signing in to its website later, even with a new sign-in that uses the same email address, connects you to that account again.
If it doesn't work
- You still get emails from an organization. Its emails go to the address on your account with it, which deleting your sign-in doesn't change. Use the unsubscribe link in the email, or ask the organization to deactivate your account.
- The organization says it can't delete your account. The account has transactions. Ask it to deactivate the account instead.
- You can't find Delete Account on the website. There isn't one. Use the TeamSideline app or email Support.
Good to know
- Your children's details are part of your account with each organization, so they're kept or removed with that account. Another adult on the account who has their own sign-in deletes it separately.
- To use TeamSideline again after deleting your sign-in, create a new sign-in on your organization's website.
