Post Game Reports lists games that have a Confirmed official, so you can read each official's report and mark the assignment Payable. Most missing games are hidden by its filters: the Date Range starts at today's date, and Status Pending shows only games not yet marked Payable. Admins can't submit, change or remove an official's report; TeamSideline Support removes duplicates.
Applies to: Admins with Officials Management access · Officials module · Games with assigned officials
Where: Schedules > Officials Management > Assignments > Post Game Reports
Quick answers
- Can I remove a post game report? No. Admins can't delete or edit a submitted report. If an official submitted the same report twice, contact TeamSideline Support (see Duplicate post game reports below).
- Can I submit a report for an official? No. Only the official can, after signing in. You can still set Payable for a game that has no report.
- Can officials submit in the app? Yes. Officials submit reports in the TeamSideline app, or on your website under Officials Management > Post Game Reports after signing in with the email on their official profile.
- When can an official submit? Once their assignment is Confirmed and the game's scheduled start time has passed. They don't need the confirmation email.
How the page works
- Click Filter, set the Date Range (or enter a game number in Or Game #), choose Status and any other filters, and click Update.
- Each game shows its Date, Location, League/Division, Game/Teams and Game #, with a row for each Confirmed official. A canceled game is struck through.
- In Game Report, Pending means the official hasn't submitted a report; Attended or Not Attended means they have. Click the report icon beside it to read the report.
- Set Payable to Yes or No for each official, change Role if needed, and click Save.
What you'll see: "Post Game Assignments saved."
A game is missing from the page
Work through these checks in order:
- Check the Date Range. It starts at today's date unless you change it, so past games are hidden. Set an earlier start date, or enter the game's number in Or Game #, and click Update.
- Set Status to All. Pending shows only games that still have an official not marked Payable.
- Check the Assignment Filters. Payable (Marked or Unmarked) and Report (Submitted or Not Submitted) hide the officials that don't match.
- Confirm the official's assignment. Only Confirmed assignments are listed; Pending, Requested and Rejected ones aren't. Check it under Schedules > Officials Management > Assignments.
- Make sure the teams are set. A game whose teams aren't known yet, such as a game still showing TBD or a playoff game waiting on earlier results, isn't listed. Put the real teams in the schedule, or score the earlier games so the bracket fills in.
- Check the league. Games in archived leagues aren't listed.
- Check your admin access. If your admin account is limited to certain associated organizations, you see only games at their locations.
Games disappear after you mark them Payable or run a batch
With Status set to Pending, a game leaves the list once every official on it is marked Payable Yes or No, for example after a batch payment. Nothing is lost:
- Click Filter, set Status to All, and click Update.
- Or run the Officials Game Report under Reports > Report Exports for the dates you need. It lists each submitted report with attendance, scores, comments and your custom report fields.
Marking games Payable
- A batch payment includes only officials marked Payable Yes. Yes prices the game from your Payment Schedule for the official's Role, Level of Play and age group; No marks it as not paid.
- Role is the role the official is paid for at this game. Change it if they worked a different role, and click Save.
- "One or more assignments did not have an associated payment schedule and could not be marked payable." There's no Payment Schedule amount for that Role, Level of Play and age group. Add one under Schedules > Officials Management > Payments > Payment Schedule, then mark the game again.
- Once a game is in a batch payment, its No choice and its Role are locked.
- If you change a rate after marking a game Payable: with Pay Rate At Batch Creation set to Yes (the default), the next batch uses the new rate. With No, set Payable to No and click Save, then set it to Yes and click Save again.
- Mark games Payable after the officials have submitted their reports. Once an official's assignment is marked Yes or No, that official can't submit a report for the game.
The page times out or loads slowly
A very wide Date Range, or none at all, loads every matching game across several seasons and can time out. Narrow the Date Range to the dates you need, or filter by League, Division or Official.
Duplicate post game reports
A duplicate happens when the same report is submitted more than once, for example when an official taps the save button again in the app because no confirmation appeared. The official then appears twice under the game. Admins can't remove a report, so:
- Note the official, the game's date, time and location, and its Game #.
- Contact TeamSideline Support with those details. Support removes the extra report.
An official needs to change a submitted report
A submitted report can't be changed by the official or by an admin. When the official opens it, they see "Note: This game report has already been submitted. For changes please contact your officials coordinator." If the report's score was wrong, correct the game's score on the division's Edit Scores page.
An official can't submit a report
- The game isn't in their Post Game Reports list. Their assignment isn't Confirmed, or the game hasn't started yet. On the website, games more than 30 days old appear only after they clear Show Only Last 30 days.
- There's no Edit icon for the game. They already submitted the report (it shows a green check), or an admin already set Payable for them on this game.
Adding custom questions to the Post Game Report
- Go to Administration > Configurations > Custom Fields.
- Click Add Custom Field.
- For Category, select Official Game Report.
- Add the question you want officials to answer, and save it.
Officials answer these under Additional Information when they report that they attended. The answers show in the report and in the Officials Game Report export.
Good to know
- When the official's role has Enters Scores turned on, the report asks for the game's score. With Auto-Post Scores set to Yes (Schedules > Officials Management > Configurations, or on each associated organization when you assign officials for several organizations), a reported score posts to the game and updates the standings if the game doesn't have a score yet.
- Payable and Role changes are saved only when you click Save, at the top or bottom of the page.
