TeamSideline offers several ways to view and print team rosters, each suited to a different use case.
Report Viewer Roster Reports:
To access any of these, go to Reports > Report Viewer, select the report from the dropdown, choose your League, Division, and Team, then click Go/Preview.
Basic Roster Print Out: A quick-reference roster showing player name, jersey number, jersey size, guardian name, email, and phone. This is the best option for handing off to coaches for uniform ordering or a fast contact list, since it leads with the jersey info admins commonly need to distribute.
Safe Roster Print Out: A roster that includes both staff and player members, along with each coach's background check (RMA) number, expiration date, and status. Use this one when you need to confirm volunteer compliance before a season or event starts.
Note: if a background check has expired, the Status field will be blank, go to the customer's Enrollments page to trigger an update in the Background Checks section.
Detailed Roster Print Out: The most complete version, listing full coach and participant details including addresses, both parents/guardians, and multiple phone numbers per contact. Best for admins or coaches who need full contact information for the whole team (e.g., emergency contacts, mailing a team communication).
Roster Waiver: Prints a Team Roster Form & Waiver with a signature line for each player, plus the Code of Conduct and Waiver of Liability text. Use this when you need physical signatures collected in person, such as at a first practice or team meeting.
Each of these reports can be printed directly from the toolbar (printer icon) or exported to a file format using the export dropdown and Export button.
Team Roster Page (Manage Programs)
Go to Programs > Manage Programs > Select Program > Rosters tab, then click into a specific team to see its live roster of Staff and Players (Name, Guardian, Email, Phone). From here, two additional views are available:
Print View: A print-friendly version of the team's current roster assignments, useful for a simple internal printout without needing to go through Report Viewer.
Picture Roster: Generates a roster that includes each player's photo, pulled from the enrollment image submitted during registration, along with a QR code coaches can scan for member info. This is the best option for coaches who want to quickly learn player names and faces before the season begins.
Admin-Facing Export: Building a Custom Roster with Custom Fields
If an org wants a roster that includes fields beyond what the standard reports offer, uniform sizes, custom enrollment fields, or any other combination, an admin can use Reports > Report Exports > Enrollment Information Report. This lets you pick and choose exactly which fields to include (for example, Shirt Size and Assignment - Team Name) to build a lightweight, custom spreadsheet organized by team. Recommended when the standard reports don't cover what's needed (e.g., Basic Roster Print Out isn't set up with a matching Enrollment Field name) or when an admin wants full control over which columns appear, rather than a fixed printed roster format.
Note: Picture Roster is an add-on feature, contact support@teamsideline.com to enable it.
