Lock a game to keep it in place: a rivalry night, a game on a field you've already booked, or a time you've promised a team. AI Auto Resolve never moves a locked game. Standard Auto Resolve doesn't check locks, so a locked game can still move when you use it.
Lock or unlock a game
- Open the division's 4 Create Schedule page.
- Find the game, and click the padlock icon in the last column of its row. A gray padlock means "Unlocked, click to Lock." A gold padlock means "Locked, click to Unlock."
- Click Calc & Save. The lock isn't saved until you do, and Auto Resolve only sees saved locks.
On the Multi-Location Calendar, right-click a game and choose Toggle Lock. That saves the lock right away.
There's no way to lock many games at once. Lock each game separately.

When you can't lock a game
The padlock doesn't appear when:
- Your role doesn't include permission to lock games
- The game has been played or cancelled, or it belongs to another division
- The row is a Bye, or the division is a Single Games division
- Auto Resolve is running on the schedule
What a lock protects
On 4 Create Schedule, a locked game's week, time slot, and teams can't be changed. Its menu options (Swap Teams, Edit Game, Delete Game, and Reschedule Game) and its Swap Game icon are turned off, and you can't drag it.
These also leave locked games alone:
- AI Auto Resolve
- Moving or editing games on the Multi-Location Calendar
- Choosing a game to swap with on the Swap Games page
- Compress Schedules
What a lock doesn't protect
- Standard Auto Resolve can move a locked game within its week. Its Home Away Alternating option can also swap home and away on a locked game.
- Block A Week moves the games in the blocked week, locked or not.
- Swapping weeks by dragging a week in Games Per Week Distribution moves locked games too.
- Deleting the schedule removes every game, including locked ones.
