A TBD time slot holds a game when you don't know its day, time, or location yet. Each TBD time slot holds one game per week. Both versions of Auto Resolve can move games into free TBD time slots, so create them only when you want that.
Create a TBD time slot
- Open the division and go to 3 Time Slots.
- Click Add Time Slot.
- Check "If you do not know the day, time or location, check to create a TBD Time Slot." Day, Start Time, and Location are no longer required.
- Save the time slot. You can add more than one at a time.
TBD time slots show "TBD" for the day, time, and location, and they're listed last. If you have more than one, they appear as TBD 1, TBD 2, and so on.
How TBD games appear
| Where | What people see |
|---|---|
| 4 Create Schedule | No date, and "TBD" in Time Slot. A Review Scheduling alert says "This game is TBD and has not been assigned a location." |
| Public schedules (Standings & Results) | "TBD" for the date and time |
| Team sites | TBD games aren't shown on team-site schedules or calendars |
TeamSideline skips holiday, availability, and game spacing checks for games in TBD time slots.
To list every game with a TBD location, go to Reports > Report Exports, open the Games Report, and choose the TBD locations option under Include Only.

TBD time slots and your schedule
- Creating a schedule. TBD time slots count like any other time slot, so games can be scheduled into them.
- Standard Auto Resolve treats a TBD time slot as always open. It uses one only if the slot already holds a game that week, or if you check All Time Slots.
- AI Auto Resolve uses free TBD time slots as a last resort, after free real time slots. It may choose a TBD time slot before moving another game out of a real one.
To keep Auto Resolve from using TBD time slots, delete the ones your schedule isn't using before you run it. Then check the proposed schedule for games moved to TBD before you approve it.
Edit or delete a TBD time slot
You can only edit or delete time slots that your schedule isn't using. If a TBD time slot holds a game, first move that game to a real time slot, then click Calc & Save.
