When Auto Resolve finishes with changes and no game in the schedule has a result yet, it doesn't change your schedule. It shows a proposed schedule instead, and your schedule changes only if you approve it. This works the same way for standard and AI Auto Resolve.
Find the proposed schedule
When you get the "Auto Resolve Complete" email or the Admin Site Map notice, open the division's 4 Create Schedule page. You'll see a panel titled Auto Resolve – Proposed Schedule and this message: "Smart Auto Resolve has completed. Review the proposed schedule below and Approve or Reject the changes." Both versions use the name Smart Auto Resolve here.
The proposal waits until someone approves or rejects it. Until then, the Auto Resolve button is hidden for that schedule.

Read the proposal
- The summary says how many games Auto Resolve proposes to move.
- The grid shows Wk, Date / Time, Home, Away, Location, and Change.
- Moved games are highlighted. Their Change column says where they came from, such as "Moved from Week 3, Sat 10/10 9:00 AM at Field 2."
- Games that Auto Resolve couldn't place aren't flagged. They're still in their old spots, so compare the proposal with the conflict alerts on the page.
Home and away swaps from Home Away Alternating aren't shown in the Change column or counted in the summary. Only admins with Auto Resolve permission see the proposal.
Before you approve, look for:
- Games moved to a date that has already passed, to a TBD location, or to a new week after your last game. AI Auto Resolve doesn't check today's date
- Teams with two games on one day, or more games in a week than you want
- Games you expected to stay put. To protect them next time, lock them before you run Auto Resolve.
Approve the proposal
Click Approve. You'll see "The proposed schedule has been approved and is now the active schedule."
- Published team sites update automatically. If the division sends automated Game Change emails, they go out a few minutes later.
- Officials assigned to moved games get the new date, time, and location. Confirmed assignments go back to Pending.
- Approving can't be undone. To change a game back, edit it by hand.
If you see "This Auto Resolve proposal is no longer pending. Please refresh the page.", someone else already approved or rejected it. Refresh to see the current schedule.
Reject the proposal
Click Reject. You'll see "The proposed schedule has been rejected. The current schedule was kept unchanged." You can then change your settings or lock games, and run Auto Resolve again.
Good to know
- Approve or reject before you change anything else. Approving replaces the whole live schedule with the proposal as it was when the run finished. Edits, scores, and cancellations entered while it waits are lost, and they may show in the Change column as moves. If anything changed, reject the proposal and run Auto Resolve again.
- Deleting the schedule rejects the proposal. You'll see "The Auto Resolve proposed schedule that was awaiting your approval has been rejected, because the schedule it was based on no longer exists."
- No proposal? If a game in the schedule already had a result, Auto Resolve saved its changes straight to the schedule. A result means a game was played, forfeited, or cancelled, is marked Score Not Kept or Scoring In Progress, or has a game comment or Exclude From Standings. If Auto Resolve found nothing to change, your schedule stays the same.
- Messages if something goes wrong: "We were unable to approve the proposed schedule. Please try again or contact support." and "We were unable to reject the proposed schedule. Please try again or contact support."
