Most often, you signed in with a different email address from the one on your team's roster. TeamSideline connects you to a team by matching the email address you sign in with to the email address on the roster, so sign in with that address. If it matches, make sure you signed in on the website of the organization that runs the team (or in the TeamSideline app) and that the organization has published your team's site.
Applies to: Parents, players and team staff · Organization team sites and standalone teams · Website and the TeamSideline app
Where: Your organization's website > Sign In > Team Sites (and My Account > Enrollments); the TeamSideline app; TeamSideline.com > All Teams
Check these in order
- Sign in with the email address on the roster. On an organization's team, that's the email address of the parent or guardian on the family account that registered the player, or your own address if you registered yourself. On a team a coach created on TeamSideline.com, it's the address the coach entered on the roster. If you use more than one email address, sign out and try the others.
- Sign in on the right website. On an organization's website, the Team Sites menu lists only your team sites with that organization. If your family registers with more than one organization that uses TeamSideline, sign in on the website of the organization that runs this team. The TeamSideline app and the All Teams page on TeamSideline.com list your teams from every organization, with the same email address and password.
- Check that the player is on a team. On the organization's website, go to My Account > Enrollments. It lists your registrations with that organization only, and the Team column shows the team once the organization has placed the player on one. If you registered but the page says "No enrollments for this account.", you're probably signed in with a different account from the one you registered with. Sign out and sign in with the email address you registered with.
- Wait for the team site to be published. If Enrollments shows a team but Team Sites doesn't, the organization hasn't published that team's site yet. Many organizations email the roster when they do, with a subject that starts "Announcement".
- Look for a roster invitation. If your team manager registered the team, you join it from an email titled "Roster Invitation | (organization name)". Check your spam or junk folder, click the link in the email, and sign in or create an account with the email address the invitation was sent to.
- Check that you didn't hide the team. Sign in at TeamSideline.com and open the All Teams page. A red eye icon ("Team hidden, click to show") means the team is hidden. Click it to show the team again.
Teams a coach created on TeamSideline.com
- Ask the coach or another team staff member to add you to the team's Roster with your email address. A parent is added as the Parent of a player.
- If you don't have a TeamSideline account, go to TeamSideline.com, click Sign In, then Create a new account, and register with that same email address.
- Click Activate Your Account in the email you receive, then sign in.
What you'll see: the team is listed under Current Teams on the All Teams page. Click its name to open the team's home page.
What you'll see when it works
- On an organization's website, the page you land on after you sign in has a Team Sites section with a link for each team (team name and season). The same links are in the Team Sites menu.
- Coaches whose organization uses Coach Sign-In also see Team Information, and team managers in Team Registration plus Roster programs see Manage Rosters.
- On TeamSideline.com, All Teams has three lists: Current Teams, F&F Teams (teams you follow as Family & Friends) and Archived Teams.
If it doesn't work
- "You do not have any current teams." (All Teams page): no team roster has the email address you signed in with yet. Go through the checks above, or ask the coach or organization which email address they have for you.
- The team is only under Archived Teams. The team site was closed at the end of the season. It no longer appears under Team Sites.
- Coaches: your team isn't under Team Information. Team Information lists the teams whose Primary Email or Alternate Email is the address you signed in with. Ask the organization to check the team's contact email.
- You were on the team last season but not this season. Each season's team site is separate. You appear on the new one once you're registered and placed on the team and its site is published.
Good to know
- TeamSideline links you to your teams each time you sign in. After the roster or your email address is corrected, sign out and sign in again.
- The roster belongs to the organization or, on a standalone team, to the team's staff. They're the ones who can add you or correct your email address. On an organization's team, contact the organization through its website's Contact Us page.
- Grandparents and other family members don't need to be on the roster. A team member can invite them with Family & Friends, and the team then appears under F&F Teams.
- If your team doesn't have a TeamSideline site at all, a coach or team parent can make one with Create Team on TeamSideline.com. That creates a standalone team site; it isn't connected to an organization's registrations, rosters or schedules.
