Hiding a team takes it off your own team list, calendar and reminder emails without taking you off the team. On the web, click the team's eye icon on Teams > All Teams; in the TeamSideline app, use Account > Team Visibility. A hidden team isn't deleted, and you can show it again the same way.
Applies to: Parents, players, coaches and other Team Site members, and Family & Friends followers · All plans · Team Sites your organization publishes and standalone Team Sites, on TeamSideline.com and in the TeamSideline app
Where: TeamSideline.com > Teams > All Teams; the TeamSideline app > Menu > Account > Team Visibility
Hide or show a team on the web
- Sign in at TeamSideline.com.
- Click Teams, then All Teams.
- Find the team under Current Teams, or under F&F Teams for a team you follow. To hide it, click its green eye icon
("Team shown, click to hide").
- To show a hidden team again, click its red eye icon
("Team hidden, click to show").
What you'll see: the eye changes color right away. A hidden team stays on All Teams with a red eye, so you can show it again, but it leaves the list of teams under Teams in the menu.
Hide or show a team in the TeamSideline app
- Open the app and tap the menu.
- Tap Account, then Team Visibility.
- Tap a team in the Visible list to hide it, and confirm.
- To show a team again, tap it in the Hidden list and confirm.
The app and TeamSideline.com share one setting, so a team you hide in one is hidden in the other.
What hiding does
- It changes only what you see. You stay on the team's roster, and nothing changes for anyone else on the team.
- The team leaves your team list in the app and the Teams menu on TeamSideline.com. If you hide every team, the app shows no teams at all, as if you had no active teams.
- Its games and events leave your calendar on TeamSideline.com and in the app.
- You stop getting the team's reminder emails, and you can't choose the team when you send a communication from TeamSideline.com.
- Your organization's own website still lists the team under Team Sites when you sign in there.
Hiding isn't deleting or archiving
- Teams and Team Sites can't be deleted, on the web or in the app.
- A team you created yourself is closed by archiving it, which its team staff do: see How to archive a Team Site (Team Sites can't be deleted).
- A Team Site your organization publishes is archived by the organization's admins, for everyone on the team: see How to archive a program and/or Team Sites.
- To leave a team for good, ask its staff, or for an organization's team the organization, to take you off the roster. Members can't remove themselves.
If it doesn't work
- A team is missing from the app. It may be hidden: look under Account > Team Visibility, or for a red eye on All Teams at TeamSideline.com. If it isn't hidden, see Why can't I see my team in the TeamSideline app?
- A team won't unhide in the app. Show it on TeamSideline.com instead: Teams > All Teams, then click the red eye. If it's still hidden, contact TeamSideline Support.
- "You do not have any current teams." (All Teams) You aren't on an active team's roster under the email address you signed in with. Hidden teams would still be listed there. See Why don't I see my team after I sign in?
- A team is under Archived Teams, with no eye icon. Its Team Site was archived, so it can't be hidden or shown. It stays there so you can still open it.
Good to know
- On All Teams, team staff of a team created on TeamSideline.com or in the app also see an Edit icon (pencil) next to the eye. It opens Edit Team.
- Hiding is per person: two parents in the same family each hide or show the team for themselves.
