Team staff can print a Team Site's roster with Print View, which downloads a PDF, or download the players as a spreadsheet file with Player Export. Both are on the team's Roster page on the web. The calendar has no print button: use your browser's print command, or subscribe to the calendar in Google Calendar or Outlook.
Applies to: Team staff (coaches, managers, team parents and site coordinators) and org admins · All plans · Team Sites on the web
Where: TeamSideline > Teams > (team name) > Roster > Print View or Player Export
How to print the roster (Print View)
- Sign in to TeamSideline on the web.
- Click Teams, then click your team's name.
- Click Roster.
- Click Print View. A PDF downloads; open it to print or save it.
What you'll see: a "Team Roster Report" with the team name and season, a Staff section and a Members section. Each person has their Name, Role(s), Email and Phone, and parents are listed under their player. The report has no photos or jersey numbers.
Players are listed in the order they were added to the team site, each followed by their parents. People added after the site was published come last, so the list isn't fully alphabetical. For a list you can sort, use Player Export.
How to export the players (Player Export)
- On the team's Roster page, click Player Export.
- Open the roster.csv file that downloads in Excel, Google Sheets or another spreadsheet program, then sort, filter or print it there.
The file has one row per player with these columns: First Name, Last Name, Player Number (the Jersey # on the team site), Player Email and Family Email (each parent's email address, separated by commas). Staff, phone numbers and addresses aren't included.
How to print the calendar
- Open the team's schedule: Calendar (choose the team, then Day, Week or Month), or the team's Events page for a list.
- Use your browser's print command: Ctrl+P on Windows, or Command+P on a Mac.
To keep the schedule in your own calendar instead, point to the info icon next to Subscribe to this Calendar, copy the link in the box that opens, and paste it into the "Subscribe to URL" feature of Google Calendar, Outlook or another iCal calendar program. You can print it from that program too. The link on Calendar covers all your teams; the one on a team's Events page covers only that team.
If it doesn't work
- There's no Print View or Player Export button. They're only for the team's staff (Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Parent, Site Coordinator and Manager) and your organization's admins. Players, parents and Family & Friends don't see them; they can ask a coach, or print the Roster page itself with the browser's print command.
- You're using the TeamSideline app. Printing and exporting aren't available in the app. Open your team in a web browser instead.
- Nothing seems to happen when you click. The file downloads to your device: look in your browser's downloads.
- A jersey number is blank in Player Export. It comes from the player's Jersey # on the team site. Team staff can add it with the Edit icon on the Roster page when your organization allows roster edits.
- Only one phone number prints. Print View shows each person's first phone number (Phone 1).
Good to know
- There's no Picture Roster on the Team Site. Admins print one from the program's 4 Rosters page, and coaches can print it on your organization's website under Team Information when the organization offers it; see How to print a Picture Roster (admins and coaches) below.
- If your organization has sent forms to its team sites, such as emergency contact forms, coaches and managers see a Forms list on the Roster page: click the View icon to open a form in a new tab and print it.
- Team managers in Team Registration programs may also have Print Roster or Player Cards on their roster under Manage Rosters on your organization's website, depending on how the program is set up.
- Print View and Player Export include everyone on the team site, people added on the team site itself as well as those who came from registration.
