The Create A Schedule Process guides you through the steps needed to create a league schedule in TeamSideline. This process includes setting up schedule configurations, creating a league, configuring divisions, adding teams and time slots, and generating the final schedule.
Each stage of the process is outlined below. Select the links within each process step (when available) to view additional details and instructions.
Step 1: Configure Schedule Defaults
Before creating a schedule, review and configure your schedule defaults.
From the Schedules page:
- Click the Defaults tab.
- Set up the Schedule Configuration defaults for each sport.
Note: Once Schedule Configuration defaults are completed, this step does not need to be repeated unless changes are needed.
Step 2: Create a League
After your defaults are configured, create the league that will contain your schedule.
From the Schedules page:
- Click Add League.
- Enter the required information:
- League Name
- Sport Type
- Season
- Click Add.
Result:
A new league is created and appears in the Current Leagues table on the Schedules page.
Step 3: Configure the League Division
Once the league has been created, add and configure the divisions that will participate in the schedule.
From the Schedules page:
- Click the Edit icon next to the league name.
- Add a division.
- Click the Edit icon next to the division name.
Result:
The 1 Configuration page displays for that division.
Step 4: Configure Division Settings
From the 1 Configuration page:
- Set up the default schedule configurations for the division.
These settings determine how the schedule will be created for that division.
Step 5: Add Teams
From the division setup process:
- Click the 2 Teams tab.
- Create the teams that will participate in the division.
Step 6: Add Time Slots
After teams are created:
- Click the 3 Time Slots tab.
- Create the available time slots that can be used when building the schedule.
Step 7: Create the Schedule
After teams and time slots are configured:
- Click the 4 Schedule tab.
- Generate and review the schedule.

- Create Schedule
