Overview
Creating a game or practice schedule under Schedules > Leagues & Divisions does not automatically push that schedule to your Team Sites. As an Organization Admin, you publish each schedule type to the Team Sites from the 5 Team Sites tab of the Program. Once published, the games and practices appear as Events on the Team Site and in the TeamSideline mobile app.
This is the most common reason coaches and parents report "the schedule isn't showing in the app" — the Team Site was published, but the schedule column was never published.
Before You Start
- The schedule must already exist. Build it under Schedules > Leagues & Divisions (Regular, 2nd Half, Playoff, or Practice) before it can be published.
- Each team needs at least one Player and one Volunteer (staff member) on its roster. Without both, the green publish icon will not appear and the Team Site cannot be published. Assign them on the 4 Rosters tab using the Assign to Roster button (use the Enrollment Type filter to show Players and/or Volunteers).
- The Team Site itself must be published first. The green icons in the schedule columns only become available after the Team Site in that row has been published.
- Review your Team Site configurations. Go to Programs > Configurations > Team Sites and confirm each setting is what you want — including whether a welcome email is sent to the roster when a Team Site is published.
Note: If your Organization needs to publish Team Sites without a staff member on the roster, contact support@teamsideline.com.
Step 1 — Make the Schedule Visible (Recommended)
- Go to Schedules > Leagues & Divisions.
- Find the Division and check the visibility (eye) icon.
- Red eye = not visible. Click it to turn it green.
- Green eye = fully visible.
- Yellow eye = only a limited number of weeks are visible, controlled by 1 Configuration > Display > Show # of Sched. Wks. Set it to All to show the whole schedule.
Step 2 — Publish the Schedule from the 5 Team Sites Tab
- Go to Programs > Manage Programs.
- Select the desired Program (you may need to use the More Options icon).
- Click the 5 Team Sites tab.
- If the Team Site has not been published yet, click the green box-arrow icon in the Team Site column for that team and click OK to confirm.
- In the same row, click the green icon in the column for the schedule you want to publish:
- Practice — practice schedule
- Regular — regular season game schedule (this is the one most admins want)
- 2nd Half — second half schedule
- Playoff — playoff schedule / brackets
- Repeat for every team whose schedule you want published.
- Click the house icon in the team's row to open the Team Site and confirm the games now appear on the Events page.
Reading the Icons
- Green icon = available to be published. Click it to publish.
- Greyed-out icon = already published (or not currently available).
- No icon at all in the Team Site column = the team does not yet have at least one Player and one Volunteer assigned to its roster.
Publishing Schedules Selectively
Publishing the Team Site and publishing a schedule are separate actions. If your schedule is not finalized, you can publish the Team Site now and come back to publish the schedule later — parents will see the Team Site but not the unfinished schedule. Likewise, you can publish only the Practice column and leave Regular unpublished, or publish Regular and hold back Playoff.
Unpublishing a Schedule
There is no standalone "unpublish schedule" button. To remove a published schedule from a Team Site, archive the Team Site from the far-right column of the 5 Team Sites tab, then republish the Team Site and only the schedule columns you want visible.
Troubleshooting
The schedule still isn't showing in the app
- Confirm the schedule column (usually Regular) is greyed out on the 5 Team Sites tab — greyed out means published. If it is still green, it has not been published.
- Confirm the Team Site itself is published for that specific team. A team whose site was never published (or whose roster was emptied) will not show a schedule.
- Check the Division's visibility icon under Schedules > Leagues & Divisions.
- Check the Division's 1 Configuration > Display settings — for example, Show Practice Section must be set appropriately for practices to display, and Show Schedule Default controls whether Regular or 2nd Half is shown first.
I changed games or practices after publishing — do the changes sync?
For individual/youth registration programs, updates to games and practices made under Schedules > Leagues & Divisions should flow through to the already-published Team Site automatically; you should not need to republish. If a specific event does not appear, delete and re-add that event under Schedules > Leagues & Divisions — this resolved the issue in ticket #173459. If it still does not appear, archiving and republishing the Team Site and its schedules can force a re-sync, or contact support.
Some teams have no green icon at all
The team is missing a Player and/or Volunteer on its roster. Go to the 4 Rosters tab > Assign to Roster and assign at least one of each, then return to the 5 Team Sites tab. Note that deleting and re-adding a team on the 2 Teams tab clears its roster and its Team Site — the roster must be reassigned and the site republished (see ticket #206553).
A Note on Scheduling-Only Sites
Automatic Team Site deployment is part of the registration module. Scheduling-only customers do not have access to automatically publish Team Sites and instead link a Team Site to a schedule manually from the Team Site's Events tab using Manage Linked Schedules. See How To Link Your Team Site To Game Schedules. The steps in this article apply to registration programs.

This draft is still needed because "how do I publish the schedule to Team Sites / the app" is asked as a standalone question in a high volume of tickets (#31964, #41246, #45631, #115369, #117604, #171373, #182592, #203985, #206553, #208958, #209422), but the reviewer may prefer to merge the two rather than publish both.
