The Activity Log shows what was done in your organization's TeamSideline site and who did it: changes admins make in each area, admin sign-ins and sign-outs, game results coaches enter through Coach Sign In, and changes families make to their own accounts on your website. Go to Administration > Manage Users > Activity Log, choose the categories and dates, and click Update. The full log is part of the Enhanced, Elite and Enterprise plans.
Applies to: Org admins whose role includes the Activity Log, such as Administrator · Enhanced, Elite and Enterprise plans · Admin site
Where: Administration > Manage Users > Activity Log; to export it, Reports > Report Exports > Admin Activity Log
See what changed
- Go to Administration > Manage Users and click Activity Log.
- In Category, check the categories you want. Every category is checked when the page opens, and the Check All box at the top of the list checks or clears them all.
- Set the Date Range. It starts at the last 30 days, through today.
- Click Update.
- To narrow the list, type in the box under the Category, Type, User or Activity column heading. For example, type a person's name under User, or a reservation number such as R001234 under Activity. The list filters as you type.
- To see exactly what changed in an "Update Enrollment Field Value" or "Update Custom Field Value" entry, click the magnifying glass at the end of its row. A box shows the Field Name, Old Value and New Value, with a link for a file.
What you'll see: the matching entries, newest first and 15 to a page, with the Date and time, Category, Type, the User who did it, and the Activity, such as Updated "(name)" User. Times are in your organization's time zone, shown above the list. Click a column heading to sort by it. "No activity records." means nothing matches.

Export the log (Admin Activity Log report)
- Go to Reports > Report Exports and click Admin Activity Log.
- In Category, check the categories you want. All of them are checked to start.
- Enter both dates in Date Range.
- Under Columns, move the fields you want from Available fields to Show these fields in this order: Activity Date, Activity Time, Category, Activity Type, User First Name, User Last Name, User Email Address and Activity.
- Choose an Export Type and click Export. Save Report keeps your choices to use again.
The report needs the Admin Activity Log permission, which comes with the Enhanced, Elite and Enterprise plans. It's in the Administrator, Registrar and Report Viewer roles to start.
If it doesn't work
- There's no Activity Log under Manage Users. Your organization is on the Core plan, or your role doesn't include the Activity Log. Ask an admin with the Administrator role, or contact TeamSideline about upgrading.
- The Category list is grayed out, with an upgrade icon that says "This feature is part of an upgraded package." Your plan or role doesn't include the full Activity Log.
- "A valid date range is required." Enter both dates, then click Update.
- "No activity records." Nothing matches. Widen the Date Range, check more categories, or clear the boxes under the column headings.
- Report errors: "At least one Category selection is required.", "Both the Start and the End date are required.", "The Start date cannot fall after the End date." or "You must select at least one Field before exporting report." Check a category, enter both dates with the start first, and add at least one column.
- A deleted official assignment's entry doesn't say which game it was. The entry, "Deleted Official Assignment For Official" with the official's name, records who was removed and when, but not the game. The log can't restore it: assign the official again.
- A change you expected isn't listed. Check the list below of what isn't logged.
Good to know
- The log is read-only. You can't undo a change from it.
- Not everything is logged. Changes team staff make on a team site, such as roster edits, anything done in the TeamSideline app, a family removing a member or changing their sign-in email or password, and an admin's changes to their own User Profile don't appear.
- Actions taken under TeamSideline staff accounts aren't listed on this page.
- Team chat messages aren't in the Activity Log. To read them, see Can admins see team chat messages? (Team Site Chat Log). To see whether an email was sent and opened, use Communication Logs.
