TeamSideline will implement the next set of 2024 Enhancements in a Release of system changes available to you Tuesday, April 30th. We have highlighted some of the key features and changes, but you may notice other improvements throughout the site thanks to suggestions from Admins like you.

Scheduling - Automatic Game Communications
We are making an adjustment to make the automatic game change (including game changes and game cancellations) emails to only display the Team(s) directly associated to the recipient of the email when “Specific Teams” is selected for the “Send To” configuration. When the automatic game change communication is sent, the Yankees Team members only see changes or cancelations for the Yankees. You can adjust these settings at any Scheduling Division from the 1 Configuration > Communications page.
In this Release we have also added text communications (in addition to an email) to the Officials game change communications setting on this page.
When changes are made to games, if the game schedule is visible then the automatic communications are queued to be sent five minutes after your last change. This allows for further changes if needed.

Scheduling - Mass Game Disposition Change
Now you will be able to quickly cancel games for a given day from the new Schedules > Multi Game Cancel page. The page will automatically display with 1) all locations selected, 2) all divisions selected, 3) with today’s date and time selected with a default reason of Canceled. Simply click the Update button and all games meeting the location, division and date range criteria will be canceled.
If you have the Automatic Game Communications turned on, then communications by email and text will automatically blast out to all impacted rosters. If your members have Notifications enabled on the TeamSideline App then shortly after clicking Update they will also receive a push notification on their phones. Scheduling - Enable Rescheduling of Canceled Games
In addition to the awesome one click cancel and communication blast functions mentioned above, we have also significantly enhanced the ease of rescheduling canceled games. Go to a Division’s 4 Create Schedule page, click the Reschedule icon on the right side of a canceled game row, then change the date, time and/or location to reschedule the game. The canceled game will still display as struck through on the schedule. Coming Soon: Inline comments regarding the rescheduled game you can choose to hide or show on the public version of the schedule.
Parent aka Conference aka District Sites
Organization Sites which are “Parent” Sites are sites which, for example, create game schedules for all of the organizations which are part of the Parent organization. For some time now, TeamSideline has had the ability to have a Merge Report customized for Parent organizations. The Merge Reports can be used to track compliance with required documents, provide a quick view of medical information, weigh in information for football organizations and more. In this Release, organizations comprising those Parent organizations will be able to deploy the Merge Reports to the web browser version of the TeamSideline Team Sites available through your organization’s web site. This means Coaches can quickly sign into your Site, click their Team name, and from the Roster page open the Merge Report if, for example, a medical emergency occurs on the field, or another Team wants to see a documented headshot of a particular player or all players. The use of this helpful feature is up to you – we are just providing you with the tools to be efficient. Click here for an article with the steps.
Game Officials Payments Reporting
In this Release, we are creating a new Official Batch Payment report for payments made to specific Officials (Reports > Report Viewer > Indv Official Batch Pymt By GL Account). You can have different assignments to an Official display different General Ledge Account codes on the report depending on how you are using our customizable GL functionality. We have also added the Batch Start Date and Batch End Date to the Officials Batch Detail report.
Registration – Open on Specific Days and Hours
We received customer feedback that some organizations wanted to be able to open registration at particular hours of the day. For example, they wanted to be able to communicate to members registration would open at 6:00pm Friday evening. Now you can do that – you will be able to define the day and hour when you open registration – down to the Offering level. Or do nothing and registration will open at midnight for the date you have defined to open registration.
Registration – Auto Grade Function Enhanced
Last year we implemented a new Automatic Grade function to channel players into specific grades and automatically change their grade on an annual date selected by the organization. In this release we are enabling you to choose multiple grades to be selected for one offering – instead of just one offering per grade. You can turn on this feature by going to Customers > Configurations > General and changing Player Grade to Yes and selecting an annual date for the Player Grade Update Date.
Registration – Payment Plans and Balance Blocks
Some organizations use Payment Plans and also have the Balance Block feature enabled (Programs > Configurations > General). In this Release we enabled both to be operational at the same time, which means the Balance Block will not apply to accounts that still have an Outstanding Balance due to opting in for a Payment Plan.
Account Management - Coupons
For organizations that use coupon codes a lot for their programs, now you will be able to use a new Assigned Coupon Code import – it works just like the Transaction Import that we’ve had for some time now (used to add Misc-Credit/Misc-Debits to accounts). In addition, organizations can now enable an Assigned Coupon Code to be added more than once to an account. (Prior to this change you could only assign a coupon code once to a customer account.)
Account Management - Communications
For any account, from the Account Overview page you can click the Add Transaction button to add transactions ranging from credits to debits to credit card refunds to an account. From Customer feedback, you can click a check box to have your Site automatically send an email communication to the adults on an account summarizing the transaction. You will be able to type in an explanation for the transaction – and that explanation will automatically display on the email.
Scoresheets
We are introducing a new Pickleball Scoresheet that meets USAPA Standards! Coming soon an update to the Basketball Scoresheets to keep current with 2024 Standards per customer feedback. Meanwhile our current Basketball Scoresheets includes the breakout of Team Fouls by quarter with 5 fouls each. You’ll find all of these Scoresheets under Reports > Report Viewer.
Background Checks
Some organization Admins gave us feedback to help improve the usability of the Background Check statuses show on the Reports > Report Dashboards > Background Checks page. This page automatically updates with the current status of Background Checks through Protect Youth Sports. In this Release we will change the status of "Duplicate" to "Duplicate - Registered Previously" to avoid confusion some Admins had in thinking that a duplicate background check had been done. We will also change the Background Check status of "Success" to "Submitted" to provide more clarity regarding which Background Checks have been submitted to PYS (versus being passed or approved).
Public User Layout
Last but not least we have done an overhaul of the Public sign in layout following the design of the new Admin layout we released late last year.
Please note that the downtime period to enable these enhancements will be from 9:00pm – 11:00pm (Pacific) on Monday night, April 29th.
After this update, we have another release in a few months with some exciting features inspired by your feedback and requirements. One of them will be the completion of level AA ADA compliance. So, stay tuned!
