Every Raise campaign is Draft, Active, or Ended. The status comes from the Raise Campaign Active switch and the campaign's start and end dates, in your organization's time zone. Only Active campaigns take donations.
| Status | When | What donors see | Player invitations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Draft | The switch is off, or the start date hasn't arrived | "This donation page is not available." | Not sent |
| Active | The switch is on, from 12:00 AM on the start date until 12:00 AM on the end date | The donation form | Sent |
| Ended | From 12:00 AM on the end date | The campaign, with "This campaign has ended. Thank you for your support." | Not sent |
If a campaign has ended and its switch is also off, donors see "This donation page is not available." instead of the ended message.
Example
A campaign with a start date of October 1, an end date of November 1, and the switch on:
- Until 11:59 PM on September 30, it's Draft, and the page isn't available.
- At 12:00 AM on October 1, it becomes Active. Donations open, and Peer-to-Peer invitations start going out.
- Donors can give until 11:59 PM on October 31.
- At 12:00 AM on November 1, it's Ended.
Tips
- Set the end date to the day after your last day of giving.
- Times follow your organization's time zone, not the donor's.
- Campaigns open and close on their own; you don't need to change anything on the start or end date.
- Pause by turning off Raise Campaign Active. Turn it back on to reopen, as long as you're within the dates.
- Extend by moving the end date later. An ended campaign reopens if the new end date is in the future and the switch is on.
- Close early by turning off the switch, or by setting the end date to today.
- On the Raise Dashboard, the All, Active, Draft, and Ended buttons filter campaigns by these same rules. Active is selected when the page opens.
