In a Peer-to-Peer campaign, every eligible player in a youth program gets a personal fundraising page. TeamSideline emails each family an invitation once the campaign goes live, so there's no separate enrollment step.
Before you start
- Complete Raise > Configurations > General.
- Use a Youth Registration or Youth Camp Registration program that isn't archived and has at least one team in a division.
- Make sure players' registrations are accepted. If you'll limit the campaign to certain teams, set up those rosters.
- Invitations go to the primary adult on each account, so that adult needs an email address.
Step 1: Create the campaign
- Go to Raise > Dashboard and click Create Campaign.
- Under Campaign type, keep Peer-to-Peer selected.
- Complete Campaign basics. The Goal amount is your campaign-wide target on the Raise Dashboard. Player pages show the personal goal instead.
Step 2: Choose who takes part
Under Peer-to-Peer settings:
- Choose the Program.
- Review Teams. Every team in the program starts out selected.
- Keep all teams to include every rostered player. Players get their page once they're on a team.
- Remove some teams to include only players on the teams you keep.
- Remove all teams to include every accepted player in the program, whether or not they're on a team.
- Set the Default personal goal. Every player gets the same goal, shown on their page and in their invitation.
Step 3: Finish and save
Add donation tiers, review the banner and thank-you message, set the donor options, and click Create New Raise Campaign. For details on each field, see How to set up TeamSideline Raise.
Step 4: Go live
- The campaign goes live when Raise Campaign Active is on and the start date arrives. To review first, turn the switch off or set a later start date.
- Once it's live, open one player's page from Reports > Report Dashboards > Raise P2P with View Donation Page. Confirm the donation form appears. Invitations go out even if the page can't take payments.
Who gets an invitation, and when
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Accepted player when the campaign goes live | Invited within about 5 minutes |
| Player registers after the campaign is live | Invited once the registration is accepted, or once placed on a selected team |
| Waitlisted player | Invited after the registration is accepted |
| Account has no email address | Invited once an email is added, while the campaign is live |
| Canceled registration | Not invited. An existing page stops taking donations. |
| Player transferred to another registration | The old page stops working. If the new registration qualifies, it gets a new page and invitation. |
| Volunteer | Not included |
Each player is invited once per campaign, and invitations aren't resent. To send a link again, open the player's page from the Raise P2P dashboard and copy its address.
After launch
- The Program locks once the campaign is active or has donations.
- You can add teams later. Players on the new teams get invitations.
- If you remove a team, its players' pages stop taking donations. What they raised stays in the campaign total.
