In a Peer-to-Peer campaign, every eligible player in a youth program gets a personal fundraising page, and TeamSideline emails each family an invitation with the player's link once the campaign goes live. There's no separate enrollment step: you create the campaign, choose the program and teams, and the pages and invitations follow.
Applies to: Admins with the Administrator or Fundraiser role · Every current plan (Core, Enhanced, Elite and Enterprise), and legacy packages that include Player Registration, Team Registration or Facility Management · Youth Registration and Youth Camp Registration programs
Where: Raise > Dashboard > Create Campaign; Reports > Report Dashboards > Raise P2P (or P2P Dashboard on the Raise Dashboard)
Before you start
- Complete Raise > Configurations > General, including your Payrix payment gateway. See How to set up TeamSideline Raise.
- Use a Youth Registration or Youth Camp Registration program that isn't archived and has at least one team in a division.
- Make sure players' registrations are accepted. If you'll limit the campaign to certain teams, set up those rosters.
- Invitations go to the primary adult on each player's account, so that adult needs an email address.
Step 1: Create the campaign
- Go to Raise > Dashboard and click Create Campaign.
- Under Campaign type, keep Peer-to-Peer selected.
- Complete Campaign basics. The Goal amount is your campaign-wide target on the Raise Dashboard. Player pages show the personal goal instead.
Step 2: Choose who takes part
Under Peer-to-Peer settings:
- Choose the Program. The Teams box appears once you choose one.
- Review Teams. On a new campaign, every team in the program starts out selected, each shown as a tag. Remove a team with the x on its tag, or click Select Teams to check or uncheck teams in the list.
- Keep all teams to include every rostered player. Players get their page once they're on one of the teams.
- Remove some teams to include only players on the teams you keep.
- Remove all teams to include every accepted player in the program, whether or not they're on a team.
- Set the Default personal goal (optional). Every player gets the same goal, shown on their page and in their invitation. Without one, player pages show the amount raised but no progress bar.
Step 3: Finish and save
Add donation tiers, review the Campaign banner and Thank-you message, set the Donor options, and click Create New Raise Campaign. For what each field does, see How to set up TeamSideline Raise.
Step 4: Go live
- The campaign goes live when Raise Campaign Active is on and the start date arrives. To review it first, turn the switch off or set a later start date. Saving with the switch on also locks the campaign type, even before the start date.
- Once it's live, open one player's page from Reports > Report Dashboards > Raise P2P with the View Donation Page icon, and confirm the donation form appears. Invitations go out even if the page can't take payments.
What you'll see
- After you save: "The Raise Campaign was successfully created." and the Raise Dashboard, with the campaign under Active, or under Draft if the switch is off or the start date hasn't arrived.
- Once the campaign is active: each eligible player's family gets an email titled "[Organization]: your fundraising page for [campaign]", usually within a few minutes.
- On the Raise P2P dashboard: every player who has a page, with the personal goal, total raised and number of donors.
Who gets an invitation, and when
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Accepted player when the campaign goes live | Invited within a few minutes (TeamSideline checks for new players every 5 minutes) |
| Player registers after the campaign is live | Invited once the registration is accepted, or once placed on a selected team |
| Waitlisted player | Invited after the registration is accepted |
| Account has no email address | Invited once the primary adult has an email address, while the campaign is live |
| Canceled registration | Not invited. An existing page stops taking donations. |
| Player transferred to another registration | The old page stops working. If the new registration qualifies, it gets a new page and invitation. |
| Volunteer | Not included |
Each player is invited once per campaign, and invitations aren't resent. To send a link again, open the player's page from the Raise P2P dashboard and copy its address.
After launch
- The Program locks once the campaign is active or has donations, and the page shows "The program can't be changed while the campaign is active or once it has donations."
- You can add teams later. Players on the new teams get invitations.
- If you remove a team, its players' pages stop taking donations. What they raised stays in the campaign total.
If it doesn't work
- "Program field is required for Peer-to-Peer campaigns." Choose a program under Peer-to-Peer settings and save again.
- Your program isn't in the Program list. Only Youth Registration and Youth Camp Registration programs that aren't archived and have at least one team in a division are listed.
- Families didn't get invitations, or a player's page says "This donation page is not available." Check the campaign's status, its payment gateway, the player's registration and, if you kept teams, the player's team, as Troubleshooting TeamSideline Raise explains.
Good to know
- The note under Peer-to-Peer settings says you'll enroll players after you save. There's nothing more to do: every eligible player gets a page automatically.
- The campaign type can't be changed once the campaign has been saved with Raise Campaign Active on, or once it has a donation. To switch, copy the campaign with Copy Campaign on the Raise Dashboard and choose the other type in the copy.
- A Peer-to-Peer campaign has no campaign-wide donation page. Every gift goes through a player's page and counts toward that player's goal and the campaign total.
- Only the Administrator and Fundraiser roles can use Raise. The Fundraiser role opens the Raise P2P dashboard with the P2P Dashboard button on the Raise Dashboard.
