CMS: Link a Button to a Specific TeamSideline Program

This applies to users on the new CMS Editor 2.0

You can currently add the Programs widget to any page of your website. However, the Programs widget displays all of your programs.

If you want a page to link to one specific TeamSideline program, you can instead add a button and link it directly to that program.

For example, you might want to create a page for Baseball Registration with a Register Now button that takes visitors directly to your Baseball program but doesn't show them any of your other programming.

Follow the steps below to create a button that links directly to a specific TeamSideline program.

Part 1: Add a Button in Site Editor

  1. Log in to your TeamSideline account and open Site Editor.
  2. Navigate to the page where you want to add the button.
  3. Click the + Add button on the left side of the screen.
  4. Select Button from the available widgets.
  5. Drag the button onto the page and place it where you want it to appear.
  6. Click the button to open its settings.

  7. Enter the text you want displayed on the button.

    Examples:

    • Register Now
    • View Program
    • Learn More
    • Spring 2027 Registration
  8. Under the button's Link settings, select URL.
  9. Enter or paste the URL for the TeamSideline program you want the button to open.
  10. Choose whether you want the link to open in the same window or a new window.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Click Publish when you are ready for the button to appear on your live website.

Part 2: Get the URL From an Existing TeamSideline Program

 

Find the Program

  1. Go to your Public Facing Website
  2. Navigate to the page that contains the Programs.
  3. Find the program you want to link to.
  4. Click the program's More Information link or button.
  5. Once the program page opens, look at the address bar at the top of your browser.
  6. Highlight the entire URL in the address bar.
  7. Copy the URL.

Tip: You can use Ctrl+C on Windows or Command+C on a Mac to copy the URL.

Add the URL to Your Button

Return to Site Editor and:

  1. Click your button.
  2. Open the button's Link settings.
  3. Select URL.
  4. Paste the TeamSideline program URL into the URL field.
  5. Select whether the program should open in the same window or a new window.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Publish your site when you are ready.

Your button will now take visitors directly to that specific TeamSideline program.
