TeamSideline Raise is a fundraising tool built into your TeamSideline admin site. You create a campaign, share its donation page, and collect card donations through the Payrix payment gateway your organization already uses for registration. You don't need a separate fundraising platform.
Two ways to fundraise
| Crowdfunding | Peer-to-Peer | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | One cause the whole community supports, such as new field lights | Player-driven fundraisers, such as a team trip |
| Donation pages | One public page for the campaign | A personal page for each participating player |
| Who shares the link | Your organization | Players and their families |
| Goals | A campaign goal | A campaign goal, plus a personal goal for each player |
| Where donations count | The campaign total | The player's total and the campaign total |
| Needs a program | No | Yes, a Youth Registration or Youth Camp Registration program with teams |
How a Crowdfunding campaign works
- An administrator creates the campaign under Raise, with a goal, dates, and suggested donation amounts.
- You share the donation page link by email, on social media, or on your website.
- Supporters donate from any phone or computer. They don't need a TeamSideline account.
- Each donor gets an email receipt, and a donation notice goes to the address you choose.
- You track progress on the Raise Dashboard and the Donations Dashboard.
How a Peer-to-Peer campaign works
- An administrator creates a Peer-to-Peer campaign and links it to a youth program, and optionally to specific teams.
- When the campaign goes live, TeamSideline emails an invitation for each eligible player. It links to that player's personal fundraising page.
- Families share the player's link with friends and relatives.
- Each donation counts toward the player's personal goal and the campaign total.
- You track each player's progress on the P2P Dashboard.
What's included
- Mobile-friendly donation pages with your banner, your story, a progress bar toward the goal, and a list of recent supporters.
- Preset donation amounts with optional labels, such as "$50 – Team jersey," plus an optional custom amount.
- Optional anonymous giving.
- Share buttons on every donation page and on the thank-you page.
- Automatic email receipts. If you're a registered nonprofit, receipts can include your 501(c)(3) tax details.
- A notice of every donation sent to an address you choose.
- A Raise Dashboard with totals, campaign status, and the latest donations.
- Donations and P2P report dashboards for reconciling funds and tracking players.
- A Fundraiser role for staff or volunteers who manage Raise but don't need full administrator access.
What you need before you start
- Raise in your admin menu. Raise is included with TeamSideline core plans and with legacy plans that include Registration. If you don't see it, contact support@teamsideline.com.
- A Payrix payment gateway set up in TeamSideline.
- The Administrator or Fundraiser role.
- For Peer-to-Peer only: a Youth Registration or Youth Camp Registration program with teams set up in divisions.
Good to know
- Donors pay by credit or debit card. Cash and check donations can't be recorded in Raise.
- If your organization passes processing fees on to customers, donors see the fee before they give. It's added to their total and doesn't count toward your goal.
- Leaderboards and recurring donations aren't available in this release.
